Wasn’t it a 2024 4?

Nah. It was a 3rd because the pick they got was a high 2023 4th.

Ended up not being a huge difference though.

Remains to be seen. Got it back as a comp

So we’re a couple days away from signing Queen. How much you think he signs for?

yeah I just had a dumb moment. Got 2025 draft & this draft mixed up.

Whoever wanted Wilkins you probably have to match if not up that offer above

If Jalen Carter keeps trending up & becomes the player we think he can become, he’s gonna make a TON of money.

I still like it.

He has rare physical attributes and still isn’t even 22 years old yet.

We all knew he was raw when we drafted him. That’s why he didn’t go in the top 50 and eyou could get him in the 4th round.

It’s a calculated gamble — you take a chance on the talent developing plus you get him in a year early to learn the system. Now we at least have a big, athletic, fast young corner who is up to speed with the defense.

Depending on how he plays I’m going to be either really happy, disappointed, or neutral.

One of things I love about being back up north.

berman has been dropping bits of big eagles moves on the horizon, is he hinting at an Eagles trade coming soon?? He’s one reporter that has full credibility & doesn’t make stuff up, I wonder if there’s some big Eagles news coming next week

OK he had 525 snaps to 430 so I accept your premise that 2021 was his busiest year as a corner, but then surely you accept that if that's the case then what he did in 2022 was objectively the opposite of improving.

If you're looking solely at numbers without context.

PFF had him ranked as the 6th best CB in 2022. Of course they grade him on what he does on each snap whether he is targeted or not. I would imagine that if you are covering your responsibility perfectly, the QB would likely throw to a different target. With only 29 targets in 2022, that would suggest as much.

I'm not going to pretend I follow every player on every team that isn't the Eagles in every game they play. So it's kind of hard to form an opinion based on a body of work I really haven't seen. My options are limited to considering what people who did watch his every play have to say. Based on that, I'm excited to see what he can contribute here.

I wonder if the Texans would do #23 for Reddick and a lower pick?

How low are you thinking? If Reddick was 2-3 years younger I could buy that, but I don’t see it. Just spitballing but maybe if it was something like Eagles send #53 & Reddick for #23 that could make some sense

I think with last year's rd 3 comp picks and this year's position (22), there was about a 20 net position difference from the 4th (last year) to 3rd (this year). For that cost getting a raw player and developing him for a year isn't too bad. When he finally did get to play defensive snaps, he was competent. There's no reason to not be optimistic about his future and when you weigh that against this year's 3rd rd pick and you get the player he is today, there's little reason not to like the pick at this time.

Yeah, something along those lines.

Don't think he's hinting at anything, just that trades will start next week. If the Eagles make a deal.

Not a good trade

I'm still not impressed.

To jump up 30 spots from 2nd to the 1st rd? Maybe Houston would have to throw a day 3 pick in there too. But Eagles would have two top 25 picks & the picks are back to back, plus pick #50 so 3 picks inside the top 50, I think that’s pretty good. They could use 23 to trade back a few spots too & recoup a 4th rd pick or stockpile some 2025 picks

Realistically,  the Eagles are looking at a 3rd for him at best, so trading 53 and Reddick to move up to 23 would be a good trade. Take a DE who will be under control for 5 years and use the cap space savings for another vet or two on D.

Value-wise it's a wash, but I'd rather have Ringo than any CB available at 86. There is going to be a tier drop-off after pick 75 or so.

Sheil and Solak did a pod with their ideal offseason and was not a fan of Solak's. He had them signing zero safeties, doubling up at LB with Al Shaair and Brooks, spending 6 million for Tony Pollard, signing Kenny Moore for 6-7m per season as a slot corner. The only move I really liked that he had was Noah Brown, but he had him signing a 1 year 2 million deal, which I think is way too low than he's going to get. Hell, Pascal got more than that from the Cardinals.

It was ideal offseason, but he and Sheil both tried to be as realistic as possible. I think Brown is going to get closer to 5m.

Solak did say he thought CJGJ would be the perfect signing, but he thinks CJGJ wouldn't sign with the Eagles(I disagree) but he wants to go all in at LB than address safety.

Intuition is telling me that Simmons will be brought in a McLeod and Jenkins type signing. They will overpay. It will be their splash FA signing.

Baker or Van Ginkel as well
