He's probably talking about the established guys like Belichick, Harbaugh and Vrabel.

Problem is those guys aren't going to work with Howie.

I don’t see the appeal in Vrabel; he’s a defensive coach who benefitted from a great RB, OL, and Tannehill being efficient for awhile.

Some team will be stupid enough to hire Jim Harbaugh.  Hope it isn’t the Eagles

Belichick is an interesting one.  I thought Jerry would cave and bring him in, but Belichick must have told him no.  I’m betting he knows most owners pretty well, and maybe he likes Arthur Blank and has been offered autonomy.  He might think if Arthur Smith won 7 games a year there, he can win 9-10 … and that division is still an easy one to win.

For all the shade (often earned) and negativity the Philly media throws, they sure can't handle any themselves.

Biggest bunch of self-entitled and sensitive pansies around

I mean, why wouldn’t you just block someone that’s only there for insulting you and not actually bringing anything to the table.

I said it weeks ago, before the AZ debacle, that Lurie and Howie know Sirianni's rolodex is limited.

I think this isn't just a mere test of his connections around the league, it probably goes beyond that.  They want to know if he's properly analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the staff in 2022-2023 and has an idea of how to approach a solution.

Kinda reminds me of Elf. If Sirianni walks in there like "I've got it...call Miles Finch!" then he's gone.

I don’t get all the Vrabel love. He seems ok but he was in the worst division in the NFL for a long while and didn’t blow it away.

What if he starts talking like Buddy the Elf?

If he calls Howie an angry elf and fights him in the office, he might win Lurie over.  That's a passion for the job

Well… the team just went through an historic collapse so….🤷🏻‍♂️

Agreed. But if you don’t think that highly of him get rid of him.

They don’t expect Sirianni to have connections.  He brought in Steichen and Gannon and both did well enough to advance to head coaching gigs.  The extent of his other connections are Reich, Mike McCoy, and Brandon Staley, pretty much.

I would think Lurie and Howie would want Nick to tell them the rationale behind the names on his list and why he’d want to bring them on, what he sees in them and how they align with his vision.  From there, Howie and Lurie would run the interview process and ask the candidates if they can see themselves working for Nick.

Sirianni must present an impressive list of coaches that meet Lowie's approval = we don't think you're good enough to win without a select group of coaches we handpick.

Tells me they don't think too highly of their coach.

Exactly. If he needs these great coordinators then what's his purpose. We've seen that his game planning sucks. As that meme goes... what is it that he does? Screw his record. His record is with the 2 guys that aren't here anymore. What can he do?

Personally i think he just wanted out of the lineup

Makes me like Matt Stafford more

What was Doug’s purpose?

This is a repeat of 2020, I’m not sure why people are reading so much into it.  Reich and DeFilippo did a great job.  When they left they were not adequately replaced.  The next seasons stunk, so Lurie wanted to see Doug’s vision for how to fix it.  Doug presented his vision of interns occupying coordinator spots, so Lurie told him to pound sand.

He did have a couple of nice playoff wins against the top seed ravens and pats but then lost the first game against the Bengals when they were the top seed. I think he seems a tough nut and some payers and teams do respond to that but I think too hard-nosed for Lowie.

Always said Stafford was an extremely underrated QB on a pisspoor team in Detroit. Glad he got a ring. This dude had a WR set the all time yardage record, and a dude who set the all time rookie yardage record.

Safe to say slay still doesn’t think much of Patricia

Exactly what I was thinking. I think it's pretty obvious that Desai and Patricia are both gone, Slays statement pretty much backs that up.

True, but no need to say it publicly like this. Unless he thinks Wilson coming here is likely.

I hope Siri proposes no changes to the coordinators so Lurie can can him on the spot.

Shitanni has zero leverage at this point, I would love to see him try that.

It feels like Reich and Martindale are the only coordinators they can hire without fear of getting poached. Reich isn’t getting another HC job anytime soon. Wouldn’t think Martindale would get one either.

I’m pretty sure he’ll come up with any defensive coordinator they want….its the offensive side I have a feeling he might hold back on….so that could get interesting, imo.

Hey now, Brian Johnson is getting (Rooney) interviews! He might be gone anyway.
