Wouldn't be shocked if the Rams are interested in Sweat.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I 100% do not believe Eagles would trade both Sweat AND Reddick like McLane is pushing. This reeks of them preferring to trade Reddick but not getting good enough offers so they are exploring alternative options.

Fair point.  Keeping our options open.  Can go different ways depending upon what happens.  Am actually hoping Reddick stays because he is the one guy who can get to the QB in the crunch.

Jerry Jeudy can't play bro and he makes a lot of money. Number 3 WR at best.

He was 40th in yards among WRs with no offensive help around him and garbage at QB.

I'm not saying he's great because he hasn't been, but he's a solid 2 on most teams and potentially better with good QB play (TBD) and help around him. He's still very young, too.

He has questionable hands, has had injury problems, hasn't been very productive, and based on his interaction with Steve Smith last year is a head case and at the very least overly sensitive to criticism. Also Russell Wilson was easily an above average starting QB in the league last season and far from "Garbage."

To this point Jeudy is an overpaid bust and there is no excuses to get around that and after four full seasons in the league and soon to be 25 he is in his prime, not "very young." He's a slightly better version of Nelson Agholor to this point.

They gave up a fifth and sixth rounder for him, not a first.

Wilson was okay last season. He was hot garbage the season before. The Broncos offense has been a hot mess.

25 is still very young. Entering his prime is still young? I guess anyone over the age of 21 is on their last legs.

Despite your rant he is still far and away a 2 at worst on at least half of the teams in the league.

Thanks for playing.

Quit moving the goal post. The argument was never the cost, it's how good the player is.

Wilson was good last season, how good or bad he was the season before  means very little especially since Jeudy was considerably better in 2022. He regressed in 2023 as Wilson and the Broncos offense got better.

25 and four years into a career in just entering prime years, not young and certainly not very young. While it's possible he's a late bloomer chances are much greater he is what he is after four seasons in the league.

From a production standpoint Jeudy is a good number 3 WR who was drafted 15th overall to be a number 1 WR and makes and brings with him a 13 million cap hit which is not number 3 money. Numbers don't lie, he has essentially been an 800 yard receiver who doesn't get many TD's. Those are facts jack.

"FAR AND AWAY a 2 AT WORST on AT LEAST half of the teams in the league."

Thanks for the laugh

Just playing the trade game here. The Broncos WR is in dire need of a boost. If Denver offered Surtain for AJ Brown straight up. Do you do it?

Hell no, I don't want to see what hurts looks like without AJ. That also leaves smitty as the only legitimate WR on the team so they'll have to use draft assets on a WR.

Love surtain but it's an offense-driven league. Making the offense worse is a terrible idea

Juedy has been a bust, is not very good and is over paid.  That's why a first round pick was traded for a 5th and 6th.  See Jalen Reagor

I'm not moving the goal posts. I'm pointing out that you were saying he can't play and acting as though he's garbage. I'm just saying, they didn't trade a ton for him.

The Broncos offense and Wilson both suck. They have little talent on that side of the ball.

I feel like you're arguing a point of his age just to argue. 25 isn't old. It would be if he were a rookie and still had to take a year or two to get up to speed.

No one said he hasn't underperformed, that he was worth his draft slot, that he's been overpaid, etc. Again, you're arguing points just to argue them.

And for one last time, he was 40th in the league in receiving yards. There are 32 teams in the league. So again, he's better than "A 3rd WR at best" on many of the teams in the league. Our third receiver this year by default was OZ, who had 164 yards.

I can’t stop laughing how funny his chain is

What's a move you can see happening that hasn't been discussed or that you think will come out of left field?

I think the Eagles try to make a splash at WR. Whether it's signing someone like Calvin Ridley, or being the team that trades for Diontae Johnson, I think Howie might surprise us and go all in to give Hurts weapons. I could see them also going after a guy like Ray Ray McCloud, not that he would be a big name signing.

The Eagles re-sign Maddox and move him to safety. I don’t think anyone has mentioned that over the years.

Eagles sign Derek Barnett

I'll be very interested to see how much money Barnett gets.  OK maybe not very interested.  Just curious.

My favorite time of year.  Eagles connected to everybody to drive their prices up

Eagles are going to sign McKinney and Huff and Barkley and Queen and and and

DREAM TEAM

Khalil Mack is an interesting name to me.

I'd only be interested for 1 season.  (Would he be happy playing here/anywhere with an expiring deal??).

If we could get impressive draft comp for one/both of our guys...Mack as a bridge to a draft pick could be an interesting play.

I want no parts of Bosa.  He's in decline, but still really good.  But he's in that grey area where he might give you 3 more great years or be a completely overpaid albatross for the duration of a new deal, which he'll demand.  Reddick is in that same area.

With Mack, at least you are only paying for the next year that you can see right in front of you.

Predictions…

* The Eagles sign Jerome Baker before the legal tampering period opens.

* I’ll jump on the bandwagon and say the Eagles sign Bryce Huff and trade one of Sweat or Reddick. Trading both would be tough, but doable if they truly are high on Smith heading into 2024.

* If the Eagles don’t cut Bradberry by Monday, they’re keeping him to compete with Ringo at CB2. Bradberry apparently lost a step or two, but his intelligence could work well in Fangio’s scheme. He’ll never be the guy he was in 2022. But maybe he can play serviceable football.

* Xavier McKinney and Kam Curl prove to be too expensive and Howie doesn’t want to add another old DB in Simmons. The Eagles end up with Jordan Fuller, who will provide solid, but unspectacular play over the next three years.

* Cedrick Wilson signs to be WR3. He would provide valuable speed to the offense and has inside-outside versatility.

* The Eagles slow play the RB market and end up with both Zack Moss and JK Dobbins.

I don’t understand this at all.  Would be a huge change to their way of doing things at RB.
