Khalil Mack is an interesting name to me.

I'd only be interested for 1 season.  (Would he be happy playing here/anywhere with an expiring deal??).

If we could get impressive draft comp for one/both of our guys...Mack as a bridge to a draft pick could be an interesting play.

I want no parts of Bosa.  He's in decline, but still really good.  But he's in that grey area where he might give you 3 more great years or be a completely overpaid albatross for the duration of a new deal, which he'll demand.  Reddick is in that same area.

With Mack, at least you are only paying for the next year that you can see right in front of you.

If he gets cut, I'm all in on Mack. I've been thinking about him as a comparison to Reddick but it's kind of not even close. Mack is just year in and year out consistent.

FWIW… seems notable despite the source considering the noise is getting louder and louder.

Anyone know why this is? Why do they use us instead of another team? Even when we aren't in a SB window they use us

I will not fall into the trap that the Eagles will spend big money on a RB. I will not fall into the trap that the Eagles will spend big money on a RB. I will not....

I would be almost as surprised about a big money RB signing as I was in hiring Castillo as DC.

Howies an aggressive GM, they just make him out to be overly aggressive

approaching Byron Maxwell levels of tampering again.

If we sign Huff, we better make the agent wait a few hours before leaking. No TJ Edwards 8 minutes into FA reports.

For one, Eagles fan base drives the clicks/views when their team is attached to rumors pretty much more than anyone.

I wonder if the Eagles would sign Huff before trading Reddick or Sweat. Would kinda hurt their leverage.

I think the chatter is going to prove to be legit and they'll probably sign Huff and CJGJ. I can't see them signing both Huff and McKinney. They have too many needs to pay both big money.

I'm not believing the Barkley chatter though unless his market is really bad, which is entirely possible, but I still think more likely than not he gets 8m+ per season and the Eagles won't go there.

Not that Nolan Smith has earned anything, but the dude is a first round pick that I'd rather not see go to waste (not to mention supremely talented).  How would Huff and Smith coexist in the same defense?  Both are very light pure speed rushers who really figure slot in for Reddick only, not Sweat.  Unless someone things Huff could be a Sweat replacement?

I don’t get it with Huff. If their plan is to ship out Reddick and replace him with Huff that would be disappointing

Barkley will come here if he has a softer than expected market.  The seasons of Sanders and Swift demonstrated the perks of playing behind this OL.  If Barkley wants a 1 year show-me deal, this is the place for it.

I think Huff will probably be meaningfully better than Reddick next year...and the gap only widens from there on out.  If we could get Huff and then get picks for Reddick, I'd see that as a nice exchange.  I haven't seen much of Huff, but I'd prefer him as a Sweat replacement, considering I don't want to write off a first round pick after 1 year.

One thing that's not discussed with Barkley is his age. He's 27 and he's had serious injuries. Maybe he won't be as expensive as we expect?

And it would be just as stupid if they did.

Last year's embarrassment hurts them in the market for those types.  When you establish a team as a perennial, drama-free contender, you get opportunities to pick off talent on 1 year deals for a fun run and to boost stock.

There is no chance that rb is the priority

Chase Young is 24, an interesting upside play, and the fact that he's tied to the Ravens makes me think he's going to do well.

Thats an optimistic projection. Huff is a rotational guy. Reddick played nearly twice the snaps Huff did last year. Huffs first 3 seasons he had 7 sacks and 22 QB hits combined. It’s a pretty big leap of faith to bring him in and ask him to play starting snaps and hope he’s not over exposed.

Remember when Reddick looked like a bust for his first bunch of seasons and we signed him coming off 1 or 2 good seasons?

Same for Huff. He has been one of the best pass rushers the last two seasons now.

I dont see where the leap of faith is happening.

Josh Sweat being on the trade market is surprising. I’m still unsure if I’m for trading him or against it. Seems insane to me the Eagles would potentially unload both Reddick & Sweat in same offseason.

I'm a big Josh Sweat fan but he was bad last year. He continually crashed the line biting on fakes and completely ignoring his contain assignments. You simply can't do that as a starting DE getting paid what he is. Especially when you look at the decline in sacks and absolute disappearance for long stretches at a time. I'd love for the Eagles to keep home grown talent and continue to develop him (if they are capable of) but if he brings back a 1st round pick, you've gotta do that trade.

Reddick looked like a bust because he was playing out of position and Arizona had no idea what they were doing. Huffs 2022 season was 3.5 sacks, 10 QB hits and 2 TFL along with 4 total tackles.

Like I said, the leap of faith is asking him to play way more than he ever has at any point in his career and not just be a situational guy. And to make sure those are quality snaps while he’s playing more.

Bye bye college sports.
