Don’t mind bringing back swift at the right price. However, I also don’t like him and gainwell as our 1-2 punch. If swift gets hurt (last year was a rarity he didn’t miss much time as his career has shown he tends too) I’d rather not rely on gainwell. I’d like to draft someone in the middle rounds to compete with gainwell especially since gainwell is a free agent at the end of 2024

The Eagles goal is always a rotation anyway.

Guys only play more when injuries happen.

Huff won't be increasing to 950 snaps next year.

I understand that but they aren’t paying him $17-$19M a year to play around 400 like he did with the Jets. I’d expect him to play 700 to 800 which would have put him around 65% of total defensive snaps

I keep seeing this Rabadi guy all over but this is the first offseason I’ve heard of him. Is he legit?

No idea, but he’s reported top 30 visits before the big names did and he reported the Graham returning story before anyone else, although that could have been just throwing bout something that everyone pretty much knew anyway.

I don’t mind bringing Swift back… in April. I’d sit back and see how the market shakes out. No reason to rush to bring him back on a one year deal.

Jerry Jeudy can't play bro and he makes a lot of money. Number 3 WR at best.

I’d spend that for our 3rd WR for sure.

I think you invest in him for longer. He’s still young, plenty of tread. We all know he can be much more productive with a better offense. Versatile out of the backfield. Lock him in til he’s 28-29. Maybe have Zeke and Gainwell back him up.

Are we sure the Eagles have enough money to sign every NFL player? Going to have a hard time hitting 53 man roster come September.

yes huh. Hes the best FA RB target on the market when you factor in talent, and value. He should already have been re-signed.

And you think its a huge leap of faith to think he can handle that increase?

The smart money is on Reddick getting a little bit worse every year from here on out until he suddenly gets a lot worse.

We have a first round pick waiting in the wings that really needs to be used exactly as Reddick.   They have failed to figure out how to get them both on the field at the same time effectively.

If 2024 Reddick is going to be incrementally worse than 2023, is it so bad to get draft capital for him and unload?

Exactly, and your point about Smith is an important one.

At some point, players have to play in order to improve. We have Smith on a rookie deal, so if we are going to get maximum return, we need production on these cheap years.

Then on top of that, like you said, declining production from Reddick and the opportunity to jump up into the first round… seems like a good deal to me.

Smith and Reddick are not mutually exclusive

None of them are better than Jeudy as of right now.

Are you 10 years old or do you just have a really really REALLY low IQ?

They 1000% need to draft a back this year. I'm so tired of gainwell and Scott getting touches

Bringing swift back should be the next thing they get done, unless by some miracle they can get jacobs on a nice deal. Swift would be a monster in a Moore offense, get him and draft a back and we can finally see the end of Scott and gainwell getting meaningful snaps

Trade Sweat for a 1 package the two 1’s with Squirts and sweeten the deal with Reddick and get Caleb, easy Super BowlzZzzz

lol…I think I’d skip watching this season if that happened.  I’m not a Caleb fan

They should have signed him early in the season. They lucked out with him being available with the Lions drafting Gibbs and brought him in for peanuts. He's young, he's dynamic and they have a coach coming in who could help him reach career highs....and they are going to let him walk.

I like Sweat and Reddick a lot.   But they are nearing the point of 3rd contracts exceeding production value.  And they weren’t exactly a dynamic duo last year.

If Smith can pan out and we can sign Huff…and trade both Reddick and Sweat for picks….technically we’d be securing the all important edge position for the next 4-5 years AND GAINING draft picks to do it.  Isn’t that sort of a coup?

It’s a risk but I’m more on board with it the more I think about it

He already did have career highs in rushing and all-purpose yards this past season

If he could, why didn’t the Jets do it?

Also the leap of faith comment originated based on the comment that he would be meaningfully better than Reddick next year.

The way to potentially get Jacobs on a nice deal is waiting out the market
