To be a backup which is exactly what he is.

Matt Patricia did to Mac Jones what he did to the Eagles defense.  Jones was always going to be a mid-tier starter (at best), but Belichick sure fouled things up bringing back Patricia and Joe Judge.

Do the young Georgia guys become the unquestioned starters at DT now, or do the Eagles bring in some veteran help on a DT rotation?

The core 4 down to 2.

6 Pro Bowls, 2 time SB champ, multiple all pros. Just like Kelce. All time great Eagles draft pick.

I don't think he's going to Canton, but Fletch was always one of my favourites. He was incredible from 2016-2018.

Think they need a vet at DT. Carter is a stud, but Davis has largely been a  run stuffing JAG. The others are solid depth, but eh.

Never liked Chicago much. Much prefer Earth, Wind, and Fire. Oh, well.

Horns in rock, R&B, Blues, and Funk (with a bow to George Clinton’s various conglomerations), I have to go with the Tower of Power horn section (Town of Power put out some mighty good R&B/Funk themselves).  Other than the Big Man on sax, there is no one at their orbit for horns in rock.  Got to see them live with Little Feat.  (TOP on Dixie Chicken on Waiting for Columbus is pure NOLA Dixieland sound I was exposed to as a child). The variations (still recording, I believe) of TOP played with just about everyone.

Nod to the work of the Funk Brothers in the late fifties, early sixties.  (You can hear the jazz influence in their beat).  (We are close enough in age, that I suspect you recognize the name, the youngsters in here may need to Google them).

Lots of work to do, seems likely we are going to slip back into the pack and the superbowl is a pipe dream.

Well eagles like to rotate DT's so I'm guessing they get some veteran help

Everything will depend on Jalen Hurts. I think Howie will have a big offseason. If Hurts goes back to 2022, the team will be a contender. If not, they won't be.

I don’t think the Eagles would turn down a quality DT if one fell into their lap in the draft or in FA, but I don’t think they need to target one. We have a backup nose on the roster, and three legit starting quality players in Davis, Carter, Williams. I bet they’re high on Ojomo as a rotational piece.

He was actually still getting doubled in his last year too. The Dline will definitely miss him

Before David Foster transformed Chicago into a bland, wedding reception act, Chicago was an excellent rock band boasting three excellent vocalists Lamm, Cetera, and Terry Kath, while Kath was also regarded as one of rock’s greatest lead guitarists.

They also followed my considered opinion that the best cover versions of songs sound little like the original— their version of Spencer Davis’ "I’m A Man” was fantastic:

Sad day

From an investment standpoint, you have to say they are the unquestioned starters. Can they handle it is the real question.

-Fletcher Cox played 66% of the snaps last year. They have 684 snaps to replace

As a rookie, Fletcher Cox played 52% of the snaps which was 502. His snap count jumped to 74% his 2nd year.

-Jalen Carter played 51%  of the snaps as a rookie, which is nearly identical to Fletcher Cox. Now, there's a 17th game so the true number is 502 for Cox as a rookie and 563 for Carter. 74% of the snaps this year was 862 snaps.

So here are the DT on the team right now. How are they going to spread out just about 700 snaps?

-Jalen Carter 51% 563 snaps. Can he make the massive jump that Cox did during his 2nd year? That's 300 snaps.

OK, if Carter miraculously plays an extra 300 snaps, there are 400 more snaps to eat up. How are you splitting them up or who are you bringing in to take them?

-Jordan Davis played 45% of the snaps with 519.

-Milton Williams played 46% of the snaps with 494.

-Marlon Tuipulotu played 17% of the snaps with 162.

-Moro Ojomo played 13% with 68 snaps.

I really don't see any worthy DT's in round one fitting here.

I was thinking a non-premium pick

I'm still saying look out for Javon Kinlaw or Bilal Nichols.
