He's been healthier than Barkley, has less wear on the tires, will be cheaper and is more familiar with the team/fanbase.

Swift at a lower amount is a no brainer.

Healthier than Barkley? Um, no. They’ve missed exactly the same number of games the last three years. And in 2022, when Swift was supposedly healthy and played in 14 games, he had a total of 99 carries. What’s up with that? That reads like a few early carries and then he sits down. Healthy, my patootie.

I agree about cheaper. Cheaper because he’s not as good. And Saquon is fully familiar with the Eagles and their fan base.

I must've missed Swift tearing his ACL a few seasons ago.

Like I said, less wear on the tires. I'm not interested in giving a running back who was the focal point of the Giants offense a ton of money when he's had consistent leg/lower leg injuries.

You wanna pay him 10 million? Go for it. The Eagles have bigger needs.

My expected free agent targets by position. If we sign from one of these positions, Id expect it to be one of these guys.

QB- Wentz, Huntley, Minshew, Brissett. The Eagles generally go big at backup QB.

Potential cheaper options- Easton Stick, Tyrod Taylor

RB- Swift, Pollard, Mattison, Gibson.

Late free agent signings- Hines, Josh Kelly, Dobbins, Gus Edwards

WR3- Cedrick Wilson, Hollywood Brown, Curtis Samuel, Ridley, Boyd, Mooney

WR4- Mack Hollins, Zaccheus, Bourne

TE- Dissly, Uzomah, Tonyan. Probably Stoll...

OG- Robert Hunt, Omwenu

OT- nope

C- nope.

DE- Greenard, Wonnum, Epenesa,

DT- Hoecht, Justin Jones

LB- Al-Shaair, Luvu, Barton, Brooks, Cashman, Dodson

Rush LB- Huff, Van Ginkel, Toohill

CB- Kenny Moore, Isaac Yiadom

Nickel CB- Myles Bryant, Jalen Mills, Gardner-Johnson

S- McKinney, Curl, Whitehead, Simmons, Blackmon, Elliott, Stone

I believe Barkley is a myth. I dont think he is all that good.

Cox was more consistent than Kelce for sure. He just never got the best DT in the league label because he played in the same era as JJ Watt and Aaron Donald.

Have you ever seen Standing in the Shadows of Motown?

Yes.  Awesome documentary.  Huge James Jameson fan.

I'm still saying look out for Javon Kinlaw or Bilal Nichols.

Loved kinlaw when he was coming out of college. He actually played solid for the niners this year in his role. Although pff disagreed lol

Eagles fans every year convince themselves they'll spend big at RB or draft one high. And they don't. Maybe one day people will learn. I said last year after they don't draft Bijan(and they were never going to even if he fell to them) it would only take a year for people to convince themselves they'll do it again. And here we are once again. The train keeps rolling.

Happy retirement fletch

Interesting the impact on the cap these retirements are having.  Savings don’t kick in until June 1.

i suspect the Eagles timed out the Fletch and Kelce retirements so that each gets attention they well deserve.   Won’t be surprised to see some announcements tomorrow.  Likely candidates: Lovato, Mann, Stoll.

BTW, prediction on Stoll not being tendered was a no brainer.  No original round tender available and others way too rich.  That said, the Albert O signing was a surprise.  Been pondering this since the announcement.  Albert is 258 to Stoll’s 247.  When Stoll was banged up, his blocking really suffered.  Just about every practice, the TEs spend time with Stout.  I wonder if Stout fixed Albert’s blocking issues (whiffs mainly due to reaching with extended arms).

Off the wall thought. Poe is the only other C on the roster at this point. Now, he played G in college so how he snaps is a question mark.  When Jurgens was a back up his first year, he played some sixth OL.  Back up C is usually active.  In HS and his freshman year, Poe played FB.  His workout tape suggests decent hands.  He ran a 4.95 forty with a 4.52 SS and a 7.52 3 cone while benching 34. 31.5 vertical and a 111 broad jump.  Only 6’ 1” and 300 with 32” arms but 10 3/4 hands.  How hard would it be for him to equal Stoll’s catches when they go heavy assuming Albert can block better with Stout’s tutelage.

As sad as it is, it really is incredible we’ve had the luxury of Kelce and Cox who spent 12+ seasons, all with the Eagles. And not far behind is Graham and Johnson. That’s incredibly rare in todays NFL.

Simply unheard of for 4 great players like that to play for so long on one team - and only that team. Says a lot about them, but it also says a lot about this organization.

You must be fun at gatherings

They must have watched a different player than we did.

The way the numbers are being reported, my guess is actual money is a lot less. The other reporters didn't even report the money, which is telling.

Says the guy calling a party a gathering. Stay cool buddy.

It would’ve been better had we won that game, but Fletch is still the man for this. 😂

Sure do. Have been well past parties for many, many years now.

I’d be very disappointed if the Eagles signed ANY rb to a deal for more than 1 year.

How come? I'd love some stability at RB1.
