Sucks to have him go, but no way Howie was going to pay a RB that kind if money.

Unless they are targeting barkley instead which i think would be a mistake, not because Barkley isnt good but hell cost more than what Swift got.

That Dickerson extension should shut down any talk of Dickerson taking over at C. It was always kinda obvious but Eagles made it clear.

I thought it was assumed once they drafted Cam

Barkley averaged more yards after first contact than Swift last year.

I would’ve liked to bring swift back, but not at that money. Frankly, I kind of think swift getting that type of money is poor spending cause he’s likely to have his injury issues pop up again and bears oline isn’t that good. I questioned why the lions would trade him away last year if he was so irreplaceable or as good as people envisioned, but you saw last year Montgomery and Gibbs played better than much of the time swift was in Detroit. And Detroit had a good offensive line his last two years in Detroit. I think swift is a little bit overrated based on what people thought he’d be when he was drafted.

We got Swift for a 2025 4th, paid him nothing, got a pro bowl season and then let him walk for a contract that could net a nice comp pick (5th or 6th) in 2025. That's well done.
