They absolutely could use an EDGE. Right now it's Reddick...Sweat.......Smith....................and Graham.

that's a starter and a backup at both edge spots, or a rotation with 4 players who are either good, or should be good this year.

with those 4,  the Eagles could add a day 3 or udfa edge.   There is no need at all on the DL.

some suggest that the Eagles might move Reddick or Sweat.  If that was to happen,  the Eagles might want to use FA to

Ooops.

Bryce Huff to the Eagles.

Damn you nerds move fast

10 sacks playing under 50% of snaps, high pass rush win rate.  Seeing as though we’re losing one or both of our edge rushers, I like it.  But we must bring in a safety and linebacker.

So a rotation of four isn’t enough?  Plus Okwara plus Lewis.

I’m in favor of Barkley or Henry. No interest in Gainwell and his equivalent in the backfield. Hurts needs to run less too.

The question will be can he handle a higher work load. The pass rush win rate stats are great for him, and he's young and hopefully getting better. The dream is this deal is like the 2022 Reddick contract.

He probably assumed you were from NEPA.

NEPA is fairly populated with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area being a large part of it.

Youre talking more like northern tier up near NY, or more so central PA.

Still a ton of smoke connecting us to Barkley, most recent one saying this is Josina.

I think it’s actually going to happen

Crazy day.

Not sure about huff - is he any good?

Not anymore

We forget that Huff played in a competent defensive system last year with really good defensive foundation. He’ll probably be a flop here with our DBs 20 yards from the play every down.

We are only lining up edge rushers.

Huff was better than Sweat last year. I'm fine with this.

The board is going to crash when the eagles pay Barkley for more than Queen gets

On the year, Huff now stands alone as the most efficient pass rusher in football. Despite being 60th among edge rushers in pass-rush snaps (87), Huff is seventh in total pressures (26). Huff’s 29.9% pressure rate ranks first among all defensive players in the NFL with at least 30 pass-rush snaps, regardless of position. That’s out of 280 qualified players.

Here are the league leaders in total pressures, alongside the number of pass-rush snaps they have played:

  • 1. Aidan Hutchinson, DET (35) – 210 pass-rush snaps
  • 2. Maxx Crosby, LV (34) – 182
  • 3. Micah Parsons, DAL (29) – 142
  • T4. Chase Young, WAS (27) – 129
  • T4. Nick Bosa, SF (27) – 159
  • T4. T.J. Watt, PIT (27) – 179
  • 7. Bryce Huff, NYJ (26) – 87

And here are the league leaders in pressure rate among edge rushers (min. 50 pass-rush snaps):

  • 1. Bryce Huff, NYJ (29.9%) – 26 pressures on 87 pass-rush snaps
  • 2. Rashan Gary, GB (25.6%) – 20 on 78
  • 3. Myles Garrett, CLE (21.5%) – 23 on 107
  • 4. Chase Young, WAS (20.9%) – 27 on 129
  • 5. Josh Uche, NE (20.5%) – 16 on 78
  • 6. Micah Parsons, DAL (20.4%) – 29 on 142
  • 7. Maxx Crosby, LV (18.7%) – 34 on 182
  • 8. Victor Dimukeje, ARI (18.5%) – 12 on 65
  • 9. Tanoh Kpassagnon, NO (18.4%) – 14 on 76
  • 10. John Franklin-Myers, NYJ (17.9%) – 22 on 123

Huff is excellent in the usage he gets. The question is can he still be with increased usage.

I won’t mind if they keep them and just have really good pass rush rotation. They lacked severely last season.

Eagles just ahead of the curve where the nfl bans running the ball and we have all these pass rushers

The Eagles had a historically bad 3rd down performance last year.
They went out and got the best 3rd down pass rusher in the market. We'll immediately improve there.

Eagles next RB. Aaron Jones. Eagles trade Sweat for Jones and a 2nd. Packers are moving to a 4-3.

Wasn't he playing in exclusively passing situations?

Jones is solid, but meh.

Yes. Some of those numbers are going to be a bit juiced because he doesn't have to contend with 1st down play-action passes.
