Can someone explain the fascination with Barkley from fans and the media? Is it the draft position? The guy is oft injured and his numbers have been crap 3 of the last 4 years. I just don't get it. If we were getting rookie Saquon, then OK.

Overrated and overhyped

I think it’s PSU + draft position + the fact he has (or at least had) incredible natural talent.

Saquon had more yards after contact per attempt than Swift last year.

I think the main thing to get excited about is Saquon hasn't had an OL like the Eagles have to run behind. Now, of course that OL had Kelce and this one doesn't.

The counter is that with a great line, you don't need to put resources into the RB position. We had a 1,000 yard back for $1 million last year.

Hopefully there's 4 void years on this and we can defer to pain at least.

That was a trade. Not a FA. Also, CMC is way better than Barkley.

I mean he’s a premier RB who they re-signed for a ton of money. I think the suggestion applies to your question, you can move the goal post however you see fit.

Not sure your question either way means much in terms of football.

Howie loves washed up players who get injured. I expect him to fall apart fast.

Van Ginkle to Vikings.

they are gonna let Wonnum and Hunter go. They just signed Greenard and Van Ginkel.

Copying the eagles plan of letting go of both pass rushers, and beating us to the punch.

Ill take Wonnum off their hands.

thats a very nice deal for the 29 year old considering they kept it to 2 years. Excellent production for 10M a year.

So $24.5mm in the 1st 2 years, then only $1.5mm in gteed money in year 3. That's better. 2 year, $24.5mm isn't catastrophic.

Gibson to NE.

Swift, for as much as I loved him and wanted him back, left A LOT of yards on the field.

Likeability of this team is taking a hit with Kelce and Cox out the door with Kellen Moore and Barkley coming in.

Huh?   What's unlikeable about Moore and Barkley?

He’s played 30 games the last two seasons with top 10 most rushes in the league.

its not just about games missed, although that happens. He is always slowed by a nagging ankle injury or a hamstring, or something. Always.
