Hurts I think had a 5.3 % for Checkdown rate. That has to be higher this year

I think Kellen Moore will get him right. More under center PA flow-y stuff will be super helpful here.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

A lot of that has to be scheme. I remember after the SB year, Hurts said he wanted to see more routes over the middle. And then this year we ran even less

Moore likes his RBs to pass block and run routes out of the backfield. Checkdowns are schemed

Has to be after paying Saquon that money.

I mentioned this the other day. Don't thinbk Eagles would go higher than a 5th.

I'd still love a RB with gamebreaking speed or the ability to pop off a huge gain here and there. Not sure there are many out there but would be nice.

There really isn't much. They save more by extending him. A lot more.

I believe it was like 2 million or something like that

Can’t believe people are acting like Saquon isn’t an elite running back.

Agreed. I think the problem is a lot of plays didn't even have a checkdown or blitz beating routes. They seemed to want Hurts to play hero ball last season.

Barkley is a huge upgrade over Swift.

Swift was a finesse back who was a good receiver but couldn't pick up a blitz. And he was more a second level runner, if the hole was there he could explode through it, but he didn't have the instincts or power to slip through cracks or carry tacklers for a couple extra yards.

Barkley is a true 3 down back, you take him off the field for breathers, and probably add a power back to grind out yards with a lead and keep his touches down.

Barkley has tons of power.  His legs are the size of most defensive ends (if not bigger).   Would be interesting to see who squats more - Hurts or him.  lol

Well maybe he can run the tush push.

Saquon wanted a large Pepsi.

Not sure how relevant this is. Most metrics are nonsense. And I say this as someone who disliked the signing.

Yep, posed this question over the weekend. There aren't many suitors for Fields and the Bears seem to be all in on Williams. What would it take to bring in Fields as a backup and would you?

Draft Jalen Wright or Guerrendo, or Benson

I’m going to search everyone’s post history that’s anti Saquon about how they felt taking Bijan at 10 last year lol

Literally the worst offense I’ve ever seen when it came to solving for a blitz. Dudes not even in position to look for the ball before the rush is at the QB lol. No HB screens off of it. No crossers. No skinny posts, no motion whip routes. Imagine we ran smitty or AJ on the Chiefs fake motion play when we were getting zero blitzed constantly lol. Good luck.

Those ratings are hard to measure when you're constantly hit behind the line.

But I do think Saquon has gotten less elusive with age, but has been tougher to bring down. Guys still bounce off of him.

There was definitely a decent group of posters that wanted Bijan

Sure does say that.

Is it also dependent on having a trash can QB and no viable passing threats? And a gameplan of "stop him and you win”

I don't like the signing at all, but this is typical whiny BLG, frantically looking for a stat to back up his opinion.

Swfit got $15M guaranteed, Barkley $26M. That's the market.
