Are we moving to a true 3-4? If so, couldn't Milton/Carter play end?

I think they both could for sure. They have the body type and skillset, but the 3-4 end is a space eater and I think that’s wasting their talents.

Talk about winning. And he came in 2nd fiddle to RGIII. Bet you RGIII wouldn't mind those type of numbers.

Its something that we made two pretty large free agent signings, and we still basically have all the same questions and roster holes.

DE is largely unsettled with the rumors of a Reddick and/or Sweat trade. Will Huff be a situational rusher here or will one of them be on the move? If Sweat moves, who plays DE? Pass rusher was addressed but DL may still have a gaping hole.

RB may be seen as mission complete by the eagles FO who cant evaluate RBs. But we shouldnt be satisfied with Gainwell backing up Barkley. A second, cheaper FA signing or a draft pick is needed here. Barkley may only be here 2 years. We will probably be looking for the out before his 3rd year after he misses a few games each year, and begins slowing down as he gets closer to 30. So a LEGIT #2 (not Gainwell) wouldnt be a bad idea to have right now. Gainwell can move down to 3, where he belongs.

We have essentially no one worth anything other than Blank at LB/safety and our second corner needs to be on another team.

Barkley does nothing for this team that can't stop a nosebleed and has done nothing to really address that

Trading all those picks for RG3, then taking Cousins 3 rounds later, and Washington still doesn’t have a QB. Hilarious

Frankie Luvu, 3 years 36 mil. Definitely would've pulled that trigger, dammit

Seems their plan is hope to out score everyone…and we see how well that worked out last year

Not always true, fletch had one of his best years as a 3-4 end. Then you have jj watt and Aaron Donald who also had some of his best years as a 3-4 end fir wade Phillips.

Chumps are who Howie signs at LB

Fields to Seattle is the speculation now.

Is it not telling to these Bears fans yet that teams don’t want Fields as their starter & Caleb will 100% be their new QB? I cannot handle seeing these fans still pushing for keeping Fields anymore

Still need a big back with good blocking/blitz p/u skills. Late rd. draft pick? F/A? Who’s out there?

I'm not sure that Barkley isn't that guy.  233 pounds,  and strong.   But I like big backs.

It's going to be difficult to find a long list of RB/FB/TE who can run who are over Barkley's 233 pounds.   There are some.   I like rookie udfas.  They're basically free and have theoretically huge upside - compared to someone who has been in the NFL for a while.

I like Johnny "offense" Langan.   Rutgers QB whose game was based on power running.

6'2 245.  Difficult to tackle.   Started his first year at Rutgers,  about half the games.  Then was "offense"  lined up all over the place.  Had a good number of games where he threw passes,  caught passes,  ran.  His final year he was a TE,  only caught passes.  He's probably not going to be faster than Barkley.   If you look at him as a player who can do all those things.   Blocking,  and power running especially,  he can do that.

and here's a really long video,  seems like it's close to every highlight,  and you'll see him moving the pile.   UDFA.  So costs nothing, as I see it.  I like UDFA who might start the year on practice squad.    Was a captain,  well liked,  things like that.  Big, powerful,  wasn't at the combine,  so probably isn't fast.

I think Ben VanSumeren should be starting ILB this year.  He had the best PFF of any Eagles ILB,  despite being a UDFA rookie.  But if the Eagles want to go get another ILB and give him the starting job next to Dean,  and limit VanSumeren to special teams,   VanSumeren was a Fullback in college for the Michigan Wolverines,  and his numbers are really similar to Saquon Barkley.   In HS he was doing a lot of catching and a good amount of throwing passes and running.   He would do a good job of what you're talking about.

Another option,  as a probable udfa,  is South Carolina wildcat QB / then big back (229 pounds)  Dakereon Joyner.   He was on the field a lot with Xavier Legette over the last few years and Jaheim Bell, who went to Florida State.     Any of those guys has big, and carry the ball on the resume.  Jaheim Bell was a big back for SC in 2022.  He's unlikely to be a udfa,  more like a 5th rounder.   However,  it seems good to me to upgrade at the TE spot with a player with experience carrying the ball.  he's around 242 pounds.

I've got more.   Louisville to Unlv (1000+ yard rushing year) to BYU.  240 pounds.  Aiden Robbins.

Can't wait for the Cunningham on a one year deal announcement!

Lions going for it

Not a great draft as far as DE go. Pretty weak. I expect them to lean on Smith heavily. I think Reddick is gone. Do they move Milton outside? Do they trade up and try to draft one? S, CB, and slot CB are big needs as is LB. Not sure what they do with Bradberry but I believe Ringo starts the season opposite of Slay

He would have been like 12th on my list at safety.

Yea, but a big, short yardage back with similar skills is needed. Just don’t know who’s out there.   Barkley is can do all of that.   He’s an excellent blocker and has plenty of power for short yardage situations.  Can catch the ball out of the backfield, can pretty much do it all. He’s an elite 3 down RB at 100%.
