He would have been like 12th on my list at safety.

10 PDs last year is big time production from the 26 year old safety.

I dont know the trajectory of his career and when he became a starter. It looks like tackle production was not there in 2022 with 58 in 17 games. But it picked up last year with 14 games, 73 tackles to go along with all of those PDs.

Im thinking hes a big up and comer who has only recently earned a starting spot.

10 PDs from a safety. Thats impressive. 3 forced fumbles and 2 INTs too.

He would have been higher than 12 on my list.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

lol. This is true. Curious what LB did you want that's not longer available?

Luvu would have been nice.

Looks like create generic face 85 from Madden.

Ok but what about passing the ball with a $250M QB and 2 soon to be $100M WR’s plus Goedert?

What is this pass you speak of?

Minny could wait and take Penix in the 2nd or trade up late 1st rd for him? They're at 13th overall?

They have pick 11. I don’t think they wait, I bet they get aggressive. Chargers seem like a good trade down candidate, Minnesota seems like a good trade up candidate.

RB is about the only important position I don't mind a blatant mercenary type

Hopefully he just replaces Morrow or Cunningham. Or even Elliss.

If Caleb sucks then how would you describe Fields

lol Eagles continue to go poverty at LB.

From memory, I believe he was on the PS/roster a year or two back, for a period of time, towards the end of the season as a steal from the Saints

It wouldn’t be Eagles free agency without signing a ST LB to a one year deal the first day of FA

Curl, CJGJ, Simmons, Chinn still available

There’s a reason CJGJ is still available.  He decent enough, but he’s on the verge of being on his 4th team at a relatively young age.  That factors in all of this… and there is a reason for it.  Eagles fans should not be blinded by his number of interceptions the year we had him

I’d rather draft a safety…and just hope w/ Fangio on board, a better one will be selected

that could be a steal.

CMC is a luxury you can have when your QB is a 7th rounder on a rookie deal and costs almost nothing against the cap.

I'm not saying it's how I would've preferred to allocate cap space, I just get tired of the logic of looking at past SB winners as the only way to build a team. Like it's some disqualifier if one position out of 22+ doesn't line up exactly with how other successful teams have executed in their run to success. "Running QBs can't win SBs" "Dominant defenses can't win SBs" "Elite RBs can't win SBs" etc.

It's extremely difficult to win a SB and reducing the possible ways to do so by limiting yourself only to what other teams have done in the past ignores so many other and much more critical factors for what it takes to actually get a ring.

I haven't watched Saints in years

So you don't watch them when they play the eagles?

I watched a lot of Saints games because of our trade. Baun can play. He'll be better under Fangio than Allen.

I would be on board for them to bring him in as a slot CB... then again it's a really solid draft when talking about slot CB

thats why Im confused. They already signed the other practice squad guy, Okwara? We signed a rush LB already in Huff. This guy seems like yet another backup type at the position.

I guess we need the depth. I just wonder when the Reddick/Sweat shoe drops.

Except signing Huff of course.

He's the new freakbeast FB because Kelce retired.
