I didn’t see this contract earlier. I’m pretty sure he was benched by Fangio.

You have to trade up for both

F it, I played Mike in high school. I’m 40 now, but with the way this team values linebackers, I feel like I have a good shot making the team.  😂

Agreed. Get a OT and slot wr in the draft. I'm a big fan of Brendon Rice. Could be there on day 3

is Budda Baker super washed?  Hes only 28.

There are so many of you in here that need a Midol and a tampon. 7 hours into "legal tampering” and everyone thinks Zack Baun is gonna be a starter.

Zack Baun was all american LB at Wisconsin - and a great running QB in high school.  Thumbs up Eagles!!!

lol

We do need depth as well as a starter. For that, there's nothing wrong with the move. Obviously he's a player the Eagles like or liked at some point and now they can evaluate him.

I will say this- If we dont get a very solid veteran LB in here, then I probably want Trotter Jr. over Cooper just because I believe Trotter's floor is significantly higher. Cooper has major bust potential.

Look at all the uber athletes at the LB position that we have all drooled over in previous drafts. Devin White, Patrick Queen, Isaiah Simmons, Jabril Cox- all currently free agents. How many of them are teams scrambling to sign as of 12:00 today?

People have fallen in love with highlights that display Cooper's athleticism, but not actual LB skill.

What makes him interesting is how he was used by NO. NO runs a conventional 4-3 set, so he backed up both OLB spots and was a situational pass rusher.

This means he has experience as a "conventional" LB, so moving to 3-4 OLB will be easier for him.

Right now, backup at both OLB spots and ST maven.

ILB is definitely a read and react position, just want enough athleticism so they're not lost in coverage, after that, the ability to read plays and shed blocks is far more important than their RAS score.

Why do I keep thinking he retired years ago? This is the second time I was surprised to see him mentioned. 😂

Currently the edge position depth charts look like

Reddick>Smith

Huff> Baun>Okwara?

On the other hand, at DE it is Graham, Sweat... and thats it.

At DT its Davis, Carter, Williams

I cant see how we are comfortable with starters at Edge, or DE if either Reddick or Sweat are traded.

An argument can be made that Milton Williams can shift to DE if Sweat is gone. But then you have a hole at DT considering Cox is gone and Williams is moving to a different position.

All that to say- they likely need more starting quality DL.

Could they trade Reddick and sign Wonnum? Could they trade Sweat and sign Danielle Hunter?

Sign Kinlaw if they move Sweat and kick Williams to DE

that sounds like a good plan because they can still free up some cap space by extending Reddick. The edge rotation of Reddick, Huff, and Smith can be potent.

Kinlaw is a great fit for the way this DL is utilized, and Id prefer to see Milton Williams as a DE in this system as well.

I'm liking the idea

Not only the most talented offensive unit in the league but mostly young almost across the board. Lane Johnson is the projected only starter over 30 on offense.

QB Jalen Hurts 25 years old

RB Saquon Barkley 27 years old

WR AJ Brown 26 years old

WR DeVonta Smith 25 years old

TE Dallas Goedert 29 years old

LT Jordan Mailata 26 years old

LG Landon Dickerson 25 years old

C Cam Jurgens 24 years old

RG(?) Tyler Steen 23 years old

LT Lane Johnson 33 years old
