Same. Everyone keeps saying "Dolphins released him. That tells you everything you need to know"

They did release him and signed a better linebacker in Brooks, sorry if some homers don't like to admit not everything this team does gets a platinum dipped A +

Surprised they didn’t already sign bakhtiari yet lol

Carolina will take years to get over them taking Bryce over Stroud. Couple that with not taking the multiple first round offer for Burns. Yikes.

I think Young can still be fine. Panthers at least helped their OL a bit today. They can probably add a center & WR with their two 2nd rd picks, then you start to create a better environment for Young. Still a long way to go & a ton of question marks all over that team.

But the GM that passed on Burns trade should be blacklisted from the NFL

Gotta get them both out of the closet for that

How is it being a homer to want Baker lol

He played under Fangio last season & is only 27 & was decent, it’s not that bad of an idea to want him

Still solid to good WRs available. Hollywood brown, Ridley, Boyd and Samuel are out there. Frankly i wouldn’t hate the eagles taking a flier on DJ chark if he was cheap enough

Justin Simmons, CJGJ, Kamren Curl, Julian Blackmon, Eddie Jackson, Budda Baker, Jeremy Chinn, Deshon Elliott, Jordan Fuller, etc etc

Patrick Queen, Jerome Baker, Josey Jewell, Devin White, Kenneth Murray, Willie Gay, etc etc

There are a TON of good FA's still left at S and LB. Drama queens can quit getting their panties in a bunch.

I really liked Chark coming out but doesnt seem he ever put it together.

Hes a big target though with some wheels.

If the shoe fits. Either way constantly running his stupid mouth and throwing shade at me every time I post isn't either. If it's good for the goose homie......

Baker isn’t a free agent. I don’t know why spotrrac has him as it. But here is his contract this year

I’m willing to take the chance because he’s gonna be your third wide receiver. I would also draft somebody in the third through fifth round to compete with him. I just think if the price is right he has upside to be a really good number three wide receiver.

He cant be worse than quez.

Honestly Im curious to see what Moore thinks of Covey.

He fits the mold of a shifty quick slot WR but not sure moore doesnt want more size speed at 3rd WR.

Sure a running game can help the defense and theres the old adage that the best defense is a good offense but just maybe and hear me out here, maybe the best defense is a good defense.

Seems foolish to just hope the offense plays so well that one can ignore 2/3rds of the defense.

One doesnt need the 90 eagles D to win a super bowl but not too many teams have won lately without a top 10 D.

I realize its the first day of FA but if howie opens the season with Dean and Vansumeran at LB its gonna be an issue

Listen, I still believe in defense but let's look at 2022: We still  had Edwards and White at LB, Hargrave at DT. We had Maddox and CJGJ and Epps. We had Slay on a PB season and Bradberry on an AP season. We had 70 sacks and multiple players with double digit sacks. In the biggest game of the year we only forced the opponent to punt twice, had zero sacks, allowed a 131 passer rating, a 6.1 ypc rushing average and forced no turnovers. Again, that was with CJGJ, Edwards, White, Hargrave, and Epps. Many of us believe the field conditions played a part. But that was not a championship won by defense as the other adage claims.

While I do believe many of you have prematurely given up on Dean, that's another discussion entirely. We still need to find the other starter there. I don't expect all answers come from splash moves. So it's a little entertaining to watch people panic this early. We will have so many options between now and game 1. There's nothing wrong with wondering who will ultimately start when the season begins. But panicking this early is a joke that should be laughed at. We made a couple splash moves in 2017 and a bunch of under the radar moves that people disregarded early. A good example was signing Patrick Robinson for pennies. It wasn't even looking like he was a lock to make the team that preseason but he did and the rest is, as they say, history.

Huff + Barkley + Dickerson was a quality day 1 for me. I’m assuming no more Eagles deals tonight.

Really hope we get some back 7 additions tomorrow & some clarity on Sweat/Reddick, I’m glad some of you guys like Baun but he doesn’t move the needle for me.

It was a solid day 1. A lot more to come between now and UDFA signings.

What in your opinion makes Brooks "better?” Last year comparison (Baker missed 4 games):

Brooks - 62 solo tackles, 4.5 sacks, 1 INT, 4 passes defensed

Baker - 51 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 INT, 3 passes defensed

Considering there’s a 4 game difference…the margin isn’t wide at all.

And a horrible playing surface that totally negated the eagles pass rush

Ill be convinced til the day I die that had that been a real field the D gets multiple sacks and eagles win.
