Looking at the wide receiver market, there is a lot of guys that you can get on a nice deal that can be solid number threes and have upside. Just looking at the list you have Tyler Boyd (think he gets paid more than you’d want to pay), DJ chark, berrios, MVS, van Jefferson, Shepard, Wilson, Josh Reynolds, hardman and Curtis Samuel

Tyler Boyd is a good 3.  The rest I don't know.  Reynolds is extremely frustrating to watch with the easy drops.  He can get open though for what that's worth

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I don't think it's realistic, but if Hollywood Brown could be had for cheap he'd be such a great addition. Has the speed and works well in space.

Does Fangio like DL versatility?

Because Ruke Orhorhoro is someone to think about in RD2.

Assuming one of LB and S is addressed in FA.

Dude is just learning football and is good at it.

He’s basically there physically, as he has the frame to add some weight. Milton, JD, JC a lot on interior talent here that needs to be coached up.

Possible. WR market is dry for these guys with a deep draft. Maybe someone takes a 1-yr deal

If Hollywood would take 5 on it for 1 year, I'd ask Howie to go half on a sack.

Trading while the market is low on Justin Fields could pay off huge down the road. Let him come here, perform well in the preseason, hope a QB gets hurt then sell high either before the season or before the deadline.

Use Fields as offensive weapon.  6'3 227 4.45

Maybe the Bears would like Sweat or Reddick?

Maybe, since they got Swift they don't want Roschon Johnson now?  Maybe Sweat or Reddick is worth Fields plus Roschon?

Ras compare Justin Fields to Saquon Barkley

Other NFL QBs have not been running faster than Fields and few WRs are as tall and heavy as he is.  He's make quite a few long runs in the NFL, and those long runs are key points of his game.  he's be a weapon.   He could sit and hold a clipboard if he didn't want to do that I suppose.   He's WR3.   Hurts, Brown, Smith, Goedert, Barkley, Fields.  Fields sometimes runs a route,  sometimes runs orbit motion, takes the snap,  one read and run.  Hurts and Barkley and Fields all in the backfield possible runs,  and Hurts has the same guys as last year to throw to.

Are you talking about yesterday or so far today with the suggestion that Justin Fields should be WR3?

Nothing this offseason and everything last season points away from a shorter slot.  Hurts again avoided the middle last year.  May tie directly to OZ (5’8”). They just extended Albert O, 6’ 5”.  The majority of offseason WRs signed are 6’3” or 6’5”.  Herbert being the exception at 6’1” but at 239, he sounds more like an Hback.   Granted these are all long shots to make the team but it sure seems to reflect the thinking.  Moore likes quick slant off motion to the middle of the field.  Post Moore signings at RB are 6’ and 6’ 1”.  That may be a factor as well.  Hurts needs to be able to see targets over the middle so I suspect that’s what is playing into their thinking.  I could be wrong but that’s my projection.

I don’t think any of that is some new philosophy on height, to be honest.

Means we need to draft a TE

Nonsense... we have Alex O!

In all seriousness, I think Moore will actually try to use him.  He likes a TE2 that can be a target, as opposed to Stoll who this team used as a 3rd OT.

Yup when Howie said they may rethink how they approach roster building I thought maybe Howie will finally take LB seriously, didnt think hed go back to 1980 and spend big on a RB🤷‍♂️

Yeah thats howie breaking out the stupid.

I am all for having a real move TE in the offense. I think TE is generally undervalued

Got a bunch to still read back on…still don’t like the money attached to the Barkley signing.  One move that i can see happening, and there’s zero mention of this anywhere, but would be a Howie special is a trade with Carolina for Jayce Horn.

I guess as long as the bots don't pick it the -ism word, that -ism is allowed by mods.

Like I said,  he just shows up every now and then to make a dumbarse of himself.  He will be gone again soon.

In theory, there is a small sample size of failed Ohio QB’s working out at WR.  No team is attempting anything with Fields because of the cost associated with his 1st round contract though and how terrible he truly is.
