Did you not watch last year? he was depth

See my last post...yeah, he was particularly bad on an awful defense.  But, as a dedicated backup, we could do worse.  Def don't want him starting.  All that said, I'd certainly be fine if he were released.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Health aside, he likely will. This is a vastly better team.

My whole point was that I'd rather take Swift and possibly spend more elsewhere (maybe we get McKinney as an example if we go that route), but the Eagles felt comfortable. It is what it is.

I'll buy us both a virtual beer with the hopes that he proves to be worth every penny. Deal?

Fair.  Ultimately it's not a draft where you get X to spend and can spend it on whoever you want.  The player has to want to come to the team and another team can bid up price. I think you make adjustments as you go based on the opportunities that are in front of you

I’ll wager you a virtual beer that Barkley has a better year than Swift. In fairness to your view, Barkley had better have a better year at his price.

You'd expect that wouldn't you?

Barkley is a better player, playing for a better team.

IF we run a normal balanced offensive scheme and IF he stays healthy then barkley should be a top 5 RB.

I'm too many pages behind to read through all of them.  Has anyone posted an update on where the team is relative to the cap after yesterdays moves?

If Bradberry remained on the team as "depth", we could do worse.

The biggest issue with Bradberry sticking around this year, is that means they are carrying $12M dead into 2025.   And they are on the hook for $24M dead with Slay in 2025.   Even if they can split that between 2025 and 2026, that's an awful lot of dead space on two guys that won't have produced at these levels for 2 or 3 seasons.   I'd rather bite the bullet on Bradberry this year and free up a little more for 2025, so that they don't have to push more into 2026.

Cowpads have $2 million in cap space and face Dak, Lamb and Parson extensions.

Eagles missed out on McKinney, got too pricey apparently.  Same thing happened when they wanted Marcus Williams 2 years ago.

Have to imagine Simmons and CJGJ are the focus today.  I'd crap bricks if Howie went after Queen...the only slight hope of this is that it's been oddly quiet on the Queen front and the Eagles are known for a surprise move every now and then.

Would love to see a double-dip at Safety though...Simmons/CJGJ + Chinn (S/LB hybrid tho).

If CJGJ isn't playing slot, I don't want him. Great slot, super meh safety. Poor tackler.

Complete CF on D and everyone lost confidence/fire?  Deployed wrong so he got exposed?

This is what I think is most likely, but remains to be seen how much of that is true.

Is he here to compete with Dickerson at center?

Berman is thrilled. He played at Temple!

Too early to say. Can’t sign until tomorrow so no one has any idea how they are structured. That said, Howie probably did his thing and I don’t expect anyone signed yesterday to have a huge cap number year one. They should still have a lot of room To play with.

Freak beast!

Backup center was a big need. It wasn't normal that Kelce never missed games and Jurgens certainly hasn't shown that ability

Actually like the Hennessy move. Gives them another guy with starting experience at center in case jurgens gets hurt or struggles. Can also compete with steen at RG. I also would love to see what stoutland can get out of him. Liked him coming out. Has good athleticism. I think stoutland can get more out of him.

Hennessy missed all of 2023 with a knee injury, as well as part of 2022 with a knee injury

Missed all of last year so lets hope he hit his rehab hard and we get a steal.  Earn that paycheck/praise Stout

Get him on whatever plan Dickerson is on. Hopefully the injuries didn’t take any or much of his athleticism away

Yep backup center

Durability if you're a backup C isn't that important. He may only have to play 3 games, not 17.

Falcons had a good o-line I think

So he’ll be cheap
