Trading Sweat for anything less than a 2 is unacceptable. I think they should and could get a 2. Burns cost top 5 defensive player money, so that was a factor in his value. It was a high 2nd rounder. Sweat is already under contract for a cheap 2024, and won't cost as much. Think they could get a late 2nd.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Reddick's roster bonus is due Friday, not tomorrow, FYI

I don't see the need to move him now unless they get a good return.

I would be floored if we got a top 64 pick for Sweat. He's not that good and has the major knee injury history (that will rightfully scare off teams).

Agree. Less makes no sense right now. Stupid.

I really don’t care about missed tackles if I’m being honest. Nor do I put much value in that stat because what is considered a missed tackle? If a runner jukes a safety, the safety slows him up, but doesn’t quite tackle him to the ground and then another defender comes over and brings him down fully, does that count as a missed tackle?

If he’s getting INTs and good in coverage I really don’t care. 10 missed tackles for an entire season is considered bad and that’s fewer than one per game and that one missed tackle may be totally irrelevant.

I swear, the Niners game broke peoples brains. They saw Morrow bounce off Deebo and him run to the house and now have extreme PTSD about tackling.

Been saying he was a bad tackler since 2022, if you think this is a new sentiment you are sorely mistaken. Perhaps you couldn't hear it over the chorus of people pushing each other over to get Johnson's used jockstrap.

Being assignment sound is important for an S, being the last line of defense. Getting picks at the expense of your assignments is for Cornerbacks, because you have Safeties to clean up your mess.

Oh this is perfect

And I know they are drafting a QB, but until then I'm going to pretend this is their QB room going into the season:

Sam Howell
Marcus Mariota
Jake Fromm

Bring me Wentz.

They should get more than that for him.  He had double digit sacks.  I wonder if it's a player for player deal.

Agree, they gotta get a 2nd Rd pick for him. Pass rushers are hard to find.

Bradley Chubb got a 1. Montez Sweat a 2nd (?),etc..

Chances we play Mariota are high 🤣🤣

I'm not that upset.  But we now need a starting DE, or a DT to move Williams to DE full time.

This is a costly move.

My fault, you’re correct.

Yup, this fan base tends as most do to overrate over value there own players,

This fan base has always overrated Sweat.

Hes good not great, Id be ecstatic with a 2nd but a 3rd or 4th is more realistic for sweat and better than nothing.

We just signed a guy to start. You think they paid huff all that money to sit the bench?

The Browns have a pretty gross QB room.

Well, Huff is an OLB and Sweat is a DE.

Secondly,  it's not unreasonable money to pay a great pass rusher even if he's your third in a rotation and gets a lot of playing time.

His double digit sacks as a backup in NY are fine production for the money without starting.

And finally,  we always rotate pass rushers so I'm not sure how you figure he would sit the bench?

I think he's both overrated and quite good at the same time. I think he's overrated because people think he's elite. I don't think he's elite, he has elite play in spurts, but his inconsistency makes him overrated. But we've seen guys who both produce and flash more get valued highly. But regardless, he's still been a very productive player and probably the Eagles second best defensive player right now.

His 25 mil cap hit next year was just crazy

Agreed. Certainly not worth that.

If we move Sweat and extend Reddick, I'd be thrilled. Reddick, Huff, Smith and BG as edge rushers...I like it. Maybe add in draft in mid rounds.

In that scenario, I'd like to see Milton convert full-time to DE and grab another mid-late round draft pick or cheap vet FA as depth.

Really like this Hennessey signing.  They definitely needed someone to come off the bench if Jurgens gets injured rather than having your top-paid guard move to center.

As to Saquon, I will really enjoy watching him play this season.  I just hope the higher price tag for an RB doesn't materially water down the defensives FAs we be able to sign.

Agreed. Needed a backup C and this guy is cheap with a lot of snaps under his belt.

If fangio sticks 34 D then sweat is out of place.

Milton is an ideal 34 DE with Carter at the other and Davis at NT.

Not sure who the backups will be and not sure what fangio plans on doing with graham if anything.

Would be nice if noah ellis could stay healthy and eagles could get a look at him at NT.

As much as I dont like Tuipolotu he might be ok as a 34 DE.

Not sure who else I imagine theyll draft a DL that fits a 34, 5 technique guys.
