  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I would be floored if we got a top 64 pick for Sweat. He's not that good and has the major knee injury history (that will rightfully scare off teams).

Yeah that knee injury history that some of this board go on and on about of one major injury in his last year of high school and never missing any games due to knees ever again since recovering from surgery to contribute in his freshman year at college.

People talk about his knee like he should have joined the FBI after college and tried to catch a gang of adventure sports freak bank robbers instead of playing pro football.

If fangio sticks 34 D then sweat is out of place.

Milton is an ideal 34 DE with Carter at the other and Davis at NT.

Not sure who the backups will be and not sure what fangio plans on doing with graham if anything.

Would be nice if noah ellis could stay healthy and eagles could get a look at him at NT.

As much as I dont like Tuipolotu he might be ok as a 34 DE.

Not sure who else I imagine theyll draft a DL that fits a 34, 5 technique guys.

Bring me Wingo in the the 5th, or 4th if we get a pick there. Hes another milton williams. tweener athlete.

I think the one year 7m Aaron Jones deal is a great deal for the Vikings. Would've much preferred that to Barkley.

This offseason is a failure

I don't like the way "trying to find a trade" sounds. Sounds like the Eagles are desperate to get rid of a good player.

Who is Jake Rabadi?

Well, Huff is an OLB and Sweat is a DE.

Secondly,  it's not unreasonable money to pay a great pass rusher even if he's your third in a rotation and gets a lot of playing time.

His double digit sacks as a backup in NY are fine production for the money without starting.

And finally,  we always rotate pass rushers so I'm not sure how you figure he would sit the bench?

Except if fangio runs a 34 then sweat is out if place.

Hes too big to be a olb too small in a 34 to be a DE.

Huff will be ine edge with reddick the other until further notice.

No reason to keep sweat.

Would be like connor barwin playing DE after chip left and doug came in with a 43.

Barwin wasnt a fit in a 43 and the next year he was gone for nothing when they could have possibly traded him for more than nothing.

Sweat is in the same boat.

Is more than nothing automatically something.  Is nothing an absolute?  Or is there a range of nothing, where more than nothing can still be nothing?

I think the birds will be playing closer to a 3-4 more often than the 5-2 they ran last year. Trading Sweat makes you fairly thin at DE, but if he can net you a 2nd+ or a starting caliber player, its a lot easier to work with.

You have Jordan Davis and Noah Elliss (for now) at NT

Jalen Carter, Milton Williams, Moro Ojomo, Marlon Tui, and someone at DE/Edge

At Sam/OLB you have Hasson Reddick, Bryce Huff, and Nolan Smith.

Damn, they’re going for offseason champions. Howie’s gonna have to make a splash to counter

It's a bad EDGE class and only Danielle Hunter is left on the market at EDGE. They'll get something.

Still don't see both Reddick and Sweat being traded. That just doesn't make sense.

I think so too. Huff essentially replaces Reddick in this scheme. Sweat is more of a 4-3 DE and its a good time to sell high on him.

We don’t need either one anymore. We have Zack Baun.

Gonna move Sweat for less than we gave up for Byard lol.

Something about paying big money for a 27 year old running back, the age where RBs typically fall off a cliff, but not wanting to pay 29 year old Haason Reddick, at a more important position and where players typically age much better than RBs, rubs me the wrong way.

I realize their respective contract desires are different, but still.

We'll see what they do, but what they're doing at EDGE feels like OCD tinkering.

They shouldn’t have leaked Reddick could be traded. They should have kept it as just Sweat available. After you trade Sweat, then you trade Reddick. You should get more value for both that way.

Reddick elite keep him pls

Mixon traded to Texans👀
