all of the above ?

Play calling and game planning. Hurts regressing which was weird how he went from climbing the pocket to once again bailing out of the pocket and not seeing the entire field. It's like he suddenly lost trust with the Oline and reverted back to 2021

What do they do in practice?

I’d get another scorer cause i don’t trust tobias Harris in the playoffs to be consistent in that. It’s really the thing that will make or break them.

Yeah, he turtles in the second round usually.

Currently, the NFL is McDonalds.  I don't know who will overtake the NFL, but I believe someone will... maybe 40 years from now.  But the concussion and safety questions aren't going anywhere and I think more and more parents will stop their kids from playing youth football moving forward, maybe flag football will take off. Who knows?

The NFL is above McDonald's in this metaphor. The NFL is Chic-Fil-A except they work on Sundays.

Should we have any realistic expectations for Isaiah Rodgers? He's a versatile player and not that it matters, he would instantly become the teams KOR.

I think he will wind up the slot CB, KR, and contribute on coverage teams. It was a nice under the radar pick up by them.

I still don't understand why they don't even try to get him involved in the offense at all. Obviously he shouldn't be the focal point but why not try to get him at least a couple of touches a game? He clearly has some ability.

Nick's obviously racist.

Right. Swift got 1 carry week 1. In the WC he had 2 at halftime.

The Eagles running philosophy and commitment has been atrocious. It’s tough to run when you’re running 5 wide and 3x1 most of the season. They need to buy up and get into some single back/I formation next season. You can use shotgun still, just doesn’t haven’t to be 94% of the time. Can be 75% and have versatility and different formations to run our concepts. And most importantly, run the damn ball.

1. Talent, yes.  I believe this team generally didn't have a lot of depth behind the starters.  When Goedert went down we had almost no production from the TE position.  When AJ was brown Quez was a poor replacement.

2. Execution, yes.  Did you ever once say "wow, that was a nicely executed screen" play during the season?  Most of the times we tried to run a screen I would just cringe and hope for the best.

3. Play calling, yes.  This has already been beaten to death, but yes.  Stieichen >> Brian Johnson.   Why the hell didn't we bring in Reich?

He's got a linked page:

  • University of Oregon. Master's Advertising and Brand Responsibility. 2020 - 2022. Football Team - TE.
  • University of Oregon. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communication with an emphasis in Advertising. 2016 - 2019. Activities and Societies: Football Team - TE.
  • University of Miami. Post-Baccalaureate. 2023 - Present.

He's got a BS, and an MS from football.  Post-Baccalaureate?  Dude is working on a PhD?  I'd say he's milking this for all it's worth.

Brian Johnson interviewed with Falcons.

We will be signing 2 veteran play callers I hope.

Frank Reich/Greg Roman/Eric Bienemy

Rex Ryan/Leslie Frazier/Mike Pettine/Mike Vrabel

Someone who can bring their scheme into play and be courageous enough to go off script and make sweeping adjustments.

Yeah he is... sheesh must love that college life 😆

Brian Johnson taking all these interviews means that he's both more likely to get one (he'll improve as he does more interviews) and more likely to stay. The league is indirectly saying the offense is on Sirianni.

Is Bieniemy getting any looks. If BJ is gone and Bieniemy some how becomes available its a no brainer right?

Lmao

I would be very happy with Frank Reich and Rex Ryan as the coordinators under the current HC. Crazy? Unrealistic? Has Ryan spent too much time away from the game?

I would also be very happy with a hard reset with Vrabel as the new HC.

Ryan would probably punch the Siri in the face for not running the ball and being pass happy...

Oh wait.

Yall must be high thinking Rex Ryan would be a good get…

Seriously. There are better options.

Y'all must be high to not recognize that he is a great DC but not great HC. Only question is if he's been out of the game too long. Want to get far from Fangio? Get an old dog who knows aggressive knock the snot out of you defense. Personally, I am so sick of the years of Matador Defense that Philly's defensive backfield has displayed

Obviously it’s a scheme issue.

With new schemes come new pass protect schemes, etc and when you only call 5.2 % of pass plays to the middle of the field and 95% of the time your receivers are outside - guess what you do as a QB?

You run outside to try to find your receivers since you know no one is down the middle of the field except D linemen and LB’ers ready to rip your head off.

Not that difficult to understand why Hurts has looked bad at times this season - especially when blitzed.  This is an historic collapse caused by an historically bad (almost laughable) offensive system and scheme.

He sure is making the Rooney rounds.

I've seen this a lot. Falcons have already interviewed around 6 minority candidates before Brian Johnson.

NFL teams were hot after him last year. I think there's still legitimate interest in him.
