CJGJ for chump change is awesome. No way he sees 33 mil.

He was definitely "special” for the Eagles.

Great signing

Fangio will have him doing what Gannon did

I’d be surprised. He barely played last year. Why would they double his guaranteed money from last years offer?

What do you think?

I forget who it was, maybe NC Eagle, who said an Honest NFL tweet about safety play under Fangio sounded just like CJGJ. Good call, if that was you.

I think CJGJ was vastly overrated as a safety.

HOWEVER, we desperately needed his swagger.

In the Super Bowl, he was the only defender who played with his hair on fire and hit guys. I get wanting that.

I'll take Simmons and Baker. Then it's all about the draft

Wagner's numbers this year were staggering. I'd be 100% fine bringing him in here. Vet leadership, on and off the field too.

I said all this beforehand, or am I supposed to put on blinders because he’s an Eagle?

Yes. Drink the k**l a*d puppet

I find it super curious that they didn’t just say safety. It says safety/nickel. Which feels like he’s going to play a lot of nickel once Brown is healthy.

In obvious passing situations/pass heavy teams they may slide him into the slot and have Blank/whoever in at Safety.

Now let's add another and a LB. Get rid of Bradberry

He’s a good fit & the money is alright but I’m still not crazy about him after way left Philly a year ago

Agreed. Sounds like it leaves the door open to sign another safety too.

They might use him in the slot more then S. Especially if they sign Simmons

There were a bunch of people who thought CJGJ would never come back because of how he left. I mentioned a few weeks ago this wasn't going to be a problem. The NFL is the one sport where only money matters. That's the type of stuff you see in the NBA and NHL. Dudes in the NFL would play for a serial killer of they gave them the most money. And that's what makes it the best sport. In a salary cap league, we don't get players taking way less money to try to form "super teams." Everyone gets their bag and it spreads the talent out across the league.

Hopefully CJGJ is happy with the contract. He seems like a D head when things aren’t great.

I kind of look at it this way, Kenny Moore got what he did earlier today and he is a nickel/slot corner. Really good slot/nickel. In today’s NFL you better have a good nickel corner. So I think they’re paying him a little bit more because they realize how important the nickel corner spot is and he can also play some safety for you until Brown gets healthy. I still don’t think they’re out on Justin Simmons.

One of your better posts.

I'm not big on Simmons but if he comes in and Blankenship is now S3, I feel MUCH better.

The old exposed tweets should be fun

Bold prediction. CJGJ is the new #0

Let's go

No idea honestly. Before that came out I’d say the real deal would be something like 2 year $13M, but I don’t think there will be that much funny money with the reported terms.

Just kinda confused by the whole process behind everything that happened last year and why Howie would ever offer more than last time.

Fingers and toes crossed bro

CJGJ gets turnovers which statistically are one of most impactful things in a football game.  Agree there are pros and cons to other parts of his game

The Titans missing out on CJGJ gives them more picks/money to spend on an EDGE😁
