Just kinda confused by the whole process behind everything that happened last year and why Howie would ever offer more than last time. 

 

Kind of wonder if the Kenny Moore deal made him think he’s more valuable as a slot corner that can also play safety with brown out likely for a chunk of the season. I like CJGJ a lot as a slot corner. As slot corner he’s likely top 5 maybe even closer to 1 then  5 when he plays the slot. It’s why i kind of think they’re still likely in on Simmons.

This is the one thing I would worry about. If he sees his contract isn’t what he thought it was he could become a brat. Hadn’t shown the best maturity.

I kind of think that Kenny Moore deal made him more money. Because Kenny Moore is one of the best slot corners in the league. And he got what he did. So I could see Chauncey Garner Johnson saying well I can play slot if you want me to and I can give you some safety if you guys also need it with injuries. So his value became more because of what Kenny Moore just got and he has more positional versatility.

I would think think that once they finalize that Sweat trade there is a plan to then trade for a LB or CB.
