DC- we cant fall off the floor, but it's easy to stay as bad as we were. I want a DC to match the OC I want- a fierce attacking DC..... attack, attack, attack, and then attack some more.

Shaw followed Harbaugh at Stanford. He's a very good coach but not a great college recruiter. Sort of the opposite of James Franklin.

There's no way Lurie currently has plans to fire Nick. There would have been a lot more urgency to have the meeting if that's what he was thinking.

Now, that doesn't mean that Nick couldn't go in there tomorrow and look like a complete buffoon and change Luries mind. He seems more than capable of doing so.
