This is kind of what I talked about in the Sixers thread last off-season if you trade away embiid, and you just go with Maxey and get the picks from Embiid then you are likely going to be a fringe/play-in playoff team every year. You’re never gonna be bad enough to pick high enough to get the star player you want. And really once you pay Maxey you can get another star here but it’s gonna be really hard to get that other star here unless you are picking high up or hit on a later lottery or mid first round pick as FA and stars coming here has been really challenging or we get them when they are past their prime

Irv smith. They were rumored to be in on Mooney before he signed elsewhere. I really wouldn’t be shocked if Hollywood Brown winds up on the Chiefs. The longer he’s out there the less expensive he gets. And you probably could get him on a good contract with how good this wide receiver class is
