I am aware.  It is also much harder to recruit to Stanford.  They don't lower the academic standards very much for their athletes.   Shaw is a good coach.  I'm not sure if he translates to the NFL, but he's a great interview candidate.

I'm not so sure. It could well be that he's stalling to find out if Johnson gets hired somewhere and he can get those third-round picks.

Mmmmhmmm.  No one else seems to be hurrying either with the new rules for playoff teams as well.   So he can slow play a little to see if someone takes the bait on Johnson.  I can't believe anyone will, but I also didn't think anyone would hire Gannon either.  So, what do I know?

I really don’t get why Johnson is even in the mix to land a HC job?! Wasn’t he part of the failure here as the OC?

The lack of urgency from Lurie to meet Sirianni means you could read into it that Jeff isn't necessarily minded to fire him unless things go really, really badly. You could even suppose he's deliberately let him marinate in his own mess for a few days to see what Sirianni will come up with at that meeting. I don't get DP shoulder shrug vibes from Sirianni. His ego won't allow him to go down without a fight.

I don't think Doug gave shoulder shrug vibes. I think he didn't want to be dictated who to hire and because of that he was fired. Sirianni will probably hire whoever they want him to

The stadium there seems pretty decent.  Would certainly open the eyes of some players going to Southern Germany in late Feb.  Not sure Adam Caplan would cope with so many fluid situations on the Main river.
