I'm still surprised they never called up Tarron Jackson for a few games after they cut Barnett. At the very least, he can take some snaps away from their non-productive DE.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

People in here are going to be salty when the Lions beat the Bucs by 3 TDs.

Why?

Agreed. Why? I hope the Lions smoke them. Rooting Lions, Packers, Texans, Bills.

Anyone but the 49ers, but the Lions are the only shot to beat them.

Remember last time they wanted to hire Brandon Staley and Arthur Smith but the reporting at the time was "Since the Eagles got a late start, they were already too deep into negotiations with those teams to start negotiating with the Eagles" so the Eagles basically snoozed themselves out of the running for them. And they still have to comply with the Rooney Rule too before they can make a hire.

Sounds like we dodged a bullet. Siri has been a disappointment for sure, but I'll take our last 3 seasons as opposed to theirs.

Exactly. Didn't matter then, doesn't matter now. Although I will say I don't remember as many people being on board with firing pederson as there are with sirianni right now. But I have awful memory so maybe there were

I’m not sure, Packers have had basically the flip of our season. They’ve been on an absolute tear in Nov-Dec-Jan

Zach Berman was great on Daily News Live...man what a great show that was.

Agree, Bo is just unbearable.

I miss the hell out of daily news live/philly sports talk. No idea why they cancelled that. But hey, we now have the best show ever with Tyrone Johnson in that time slot 🤣

I would take DLN/PST over any of the Philly podcasts that are out there now. I mean that was me evening TV. Eat dinner while watching then the gym. It was routine. Covered all Philly sports with different analysts every day.

We just had a Dave's Hot Chicken open up today. Has anyone been? Is it worth it? Not a huge fast food guy but love chicken.

I'm probably just in negative Nancy mode since the team imploded the way they did to end the season. However, I am not impressed with how the off-season has gone thus far. First of all, why wait three FN days to do the exit interview with the head coach. I guess that means they have no intent of firing him, but at the very least it should have been a consideration and they should have gotten moving with the process quickly. You'd think an organization that struggled in large part due to two terrible coordinators that they had to settle for late would want as much time as possible to interview and add coaches. Also, the entire defensive staff should have been fired by Tuesday night. Make a statement and a show a clear vision that defensive play that pathetic will not be tolerated and changes will happen immediately. I get not wanting to rush into major decision, but Lurie and Roseman had two months to watch the train go off the rails and I don't get the hesitation whatsoever to move forward with certain things.

that would be great too.  But the Lions have never even been to a Super Bowl, would love to see that for their fans.  Even if they lose to the AFC team.

If I recall, there was some debate a little bit similar, considering once Reich left the replacements weren't cutting it, the offense became stale and vanilla.  But it didn't appear he lost the locker room or anything.  A big reason they were losing was the major regression of Wentz.  This year so many problems it's hard to point to just one thing.  Which is usually an indictment of the HC.

He's definitely on the fire Nick train

So, is this guy just a fanboy in reality? Because this is kind of weird for an ex-NFL scout to do

That's all well and good, but this seems like that Seinfeld episode when George Costanza was talking about his dream jobs he'll never actually do. He should've done this over a year ago. When you have to force someone to artificially evolve via mandate, it's doomed for failure. Smart coaches evolve organically because they see trends and are ready to counter them.

Part of his pre-snap mechanics part should include getting to the line in time to even assess the defense. So infuriating all season long seeing them line up with less than 10 seconds

I could take snaps away from Barnett. Almost anyone could.
