I'm still holding out hope Dean hits his growth spurt.

It could happen.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I mentioned a couple pages back that insider said the Jets are going to cut CJ Mosley soon. He's still really good, even at 31. Jets fans considered him dominant in 2023. Don't think he'd be a long term option, but if they cut him I could see the Eagles go after him.

As for that report, don't really have much to make of it other than "of course they are"

It’s more about not having a rotation.

Last year Swift, Gainwell and Scott combined for 333 carries and 73 catches. 80+% of those should go to Barkley.

That would be fine, that would put him around 260 carries which leaves room for 50-60 receptions and stay well below CMC's overusage. I just don't want them running this dude into the ground and he breaks before the playoffs even start

Theres very little Tyrel Dodson content on youtube. But what little is there seems to talk about him in coverage, positively.

I really thing we should sign Dodson, and then get someone in round 2 or 3 of the draft to compete with Dean.

The Eagles M.O. is to sign a LB who didn’t play in the league last year.

I doubt Random Regular is as soft as some of the other people here.

All that water on the brain makes him Charmin Soft.

Yeah Dodson seems like a guy who has some upside to grow. Might not but it's possible.  Other guys are on downward slide

Mosley would be meh. So disappointing that we did not sign a younger guy this cycle.

Eagles scanning for linebackers

Btw, I love when reporters say teams are "scanning the market" like they're trying to spot a sniper in the woods with infrared.

There's like 5 linebackers out there left in free agency. There's nothing to scan. You look at the list and you either like them or you don't. It's not like Fred Warner and Roquan Smith are going to magically pop up.

I would be trying for Chad Muma, who is still ILB3 in Jacksonville. He hasn't played enough to know either way if he's good or bad.

I like the Colts proposal. You should be able to challenge awful calls. They call too many flags and they alter games.

Then they need to allow the control center to make the calls and not the ref running over to a monitor. The process takes too long.

I’d gladly take any of Jacksonville’s top three LBs.

I’ve spent a lot of time destroying Devin White, but I might have to start talking myself into him.

11.9 yards per completion and 111.2 QB Rating against him, COOKED.

Brutal. Tore his ACL against us. They drafted Paris Johnson last year at 6.

Maybe I'll regret this by September, but I really don't know if I can knock the Eagles inactivity at linebacker. Brooks was good, but given how weak the market was, many got overpaid. Now, they can't go into the season like they are currently, but I don't think any LB on the market was making the Eagles markedly better.

I'll put it this way. As much as I'm not into the Barkley signing, unless he falls off a cliff, Barkley impacts the Eagles offense way more than any LB available would've impacted the defense. Of the available LBs only Queen would've made a difference, but he would've been like the 4th best available LB in a good free agent class.

Once you saw Tranquil's contract, you knew the free agent market was going to be overpriced.

I have to think Howie has something cooking there. I don't think he'd leave Fangio out to dry by not giving him any LBs.

Wonder if that's who signs Tyron Smith. There has been no action on him whatsoever.

Well to be fair in this case trades were included so that market and its prices may well be changing all the time.

But sure, at this point I expect Roseman to "scan the market" almost every day of the year..
