Geoff and Caplan have. no. sources.

I will say that Jake Rabadi tweeting what podcasters are saying does help me avoid listening to them.

I think this should get Franklin fired at Penn State

Jacobs had 340 carries in 2022. Those types of years usually take it's toll for the rest of a backs career.

Barkley had 247 carries and 41 catches

for a total of 288 carries so it must take a toll right?

What's the best eagles podcast to listen to nowadays?

Looking for one to listen to while I work

I agree. I put our defensive failures at 80% coaching and 20% talent. As an example, putting Bradberry on another team’s fastest receiver with no deep help is on the coach. Doing it two or three times in a row is criminal. Bradberry is a boundary zone defender; used properly he is competent.

Problem is if Fangio has reviewed film and doesn't see a player as a good fit, he has less value than a less talented player who fits better (and is a lot cheaper).

It's easier to rebuild a defense, and a lot of NFL defenses are driven more by fit and chemistry than star power. Last year's defense had a bunch of high paid/high drafted, supposedly talented players, Slay, Bradberry, Byard, Cox, Reddick, Sweat, etc. Given Fangio's track record, and the need to just get to "mediocre" instead of "putrid," I'm inclined to defer to his judgement. I'd like to see fewer "names" and more young players put in position to develop and succeed.

Last year's defense just looked disorganized, players out of position, little attempt to disguise coverages, telegraphed blitzes, etc.

To get to the middle of the pack defensively, I think it's less about star power than eliminating or disguising weaknesses so teams can't consistently take you apart.

Once you build a competent defense, then star power can propel you to the top ranks. But walk, then run.

I think BGN radio probably but I think sports podcasts generally suck. The Sheil and Solak one is pretty good but Solak is so annoying. I recommend non sports podcasts

What this will get is Mara ****ing to Goodell about punishment for the Eagles.

We should get Braden Mann to celebrate his new contract by sending him to Penn State to punt Franklin square in his stupid ass.

The problem with last years defense started in having no starting quality linebackers that could stay healthy, you could put Chuck Noll / Bill Bellichick in as joint DC last year and it would still look pretty much like Desai trying to hide the roster issues and stay in the game as well as you can and adjust to what the offense is doing at half time.

At the moment we still have no starting linebackers that can stay healthy so it looks like Howie thinks he can draft the solution or he really does think the entire issue was Desai.

The Eagles shouldn't draft Jalen Hurts, it isn't fair to Carson Wentz. Same thing IMO.

The Eagles shouldn’t trade for Fields because he will be too expensive.  Year four salary $3.2 million, year five though would be $26 million.  Not a fan of Huntley but that is basically what Fields is.  Lots of alternative vets like Josh Dobbs.

Chance that Franklin talked to Barkley and that Saquon told him he talked directly to Roseman is 0%.  Franklin isn’t just a bad coach, he says dumb things with way too much regularity.

Sweat and Reddick are obviously being shopped for LB help. What could they fetch?

They wouldn’t be picking up his 5th year option. At most, he’s a one year rental.

Lol

Better options that don’t cost draft capital.
