  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Not true. They were very clearly a better team in those games. The only reason any of their wins were close was because the eagles would turn it over 2-3 times each game. On the non-turnover plays, generally things were functioning very well.

By the end of the season they really just sucket. D got worse. Offense couldnt move the ball. Just look at the Tampa Bay games and see the difference in the team. 25-11 in the first meeting. And then blown out in the playoffs. You think luck would have affected the outcome of our playoff game? Hell, we HAD luck (dropped passes by TB) and it couldnt even keep us close. Thats how bad they became.

You cant seriously think the difference in results of these games hinged solely on a few lucky bounces. So much more went wrong than that. And this team WAS a damn good team earlier in the year.

By the end of the year this team clearly didn't care (another indictment of sirianni), but no this team was not a damn good team early in the year. If they were, they wouldn't have had so many "ugly" wins. The offense was better overall but they still had horrid playcalling, redzone, and turnover issues.

They were a mediocre team the entire time due to a talentless defense and an inconsistent, turnover prone offense. One of the most unlikable, infuriating eagles teams since the dream team. I'm so glad this Fing season is over but we just get to watch it all over again if that Fing clown is the head coach again

The sad part is they'll win enough to get into the playoffs but probably get their doors blown off in the first round just like the eagles did.

that is incorrect.

Yeah, who knows, fragmentation always sucks for fans who like consuming as much football as possible but this isn't new either. Prior to TNF and Sunday Ticket, fans could only watch a max of 5 games a week (3 on Sunday afternoon, SNF, and MNF). Then Sunday Ticket came along and gave the option to watch any amount of games for a hefty price. Then TNF gave us the ability to watch a 6th game if you had NFLN as part of your cable package. That was eventually sold to Amazon a few years back, which was also right around the time MNF moved off OTA to ESPN only (although this year, it was simulcast on ABC for some reason.)

Wasn’t espn the manning broadcast?  I’ve always watched it on the 3/6/10 option.

Yeah probably. But if they build it up and then michkov eventually comes over he might be the thing that can get them where they want to go.

YouTube is shelling out $2b a year for Sunday ticket.  Imagine the next go around…it’s insane.

Just judging from my kids and their friends, it's gonna be a while before that catches up. The NFL marketing machine is powerful and apparently very effective at casting a wide net. I think the overall fanbase is going to steadily continue to grow over time, even if there are some bumps along the way, and things like fantasy football and legalized gambling all but assure that. That's not to say the product will clearly improve during that time (not all things that are popular are necessarily "good") but the prospective to draw in casual fans from unconventional demos (kids, women, etc) seems to only be getting stronger, anecdotally at least.

I’ve always credited fantasy as being the biggest catalyst for popularity in that it brings in the casual audience.  On the flip side, i think it heavily influenced a lot of rule changes and has damaged the product.  But the NFL marketing is top notch.

Owen Tippett looking like the best part of the Giroux trade.

I was too excited to find it. I haven't been that excited about a goal since G's Penguins/Crosby shift.

I love it how a whole bunch of people who have no idea what the layout of the NovaCare Complex is like can take that line about "office down the hall from him" and assign so much meaning to it.

What hall is it? What floor is it on? Where are the rest of the coaches offices? How close was it to other offices of defensive staff members? Who else had offices in the area? If it was a different area is that just because the coaching staff was already filled out and all of those regular offices were taken?

AH who cares? It must have some secret meaning and be terrible because some slimy philly media member implied so.

I don't personally think McManus is slimy or trying to cause any issues. Many people want to know how Patricia got here and he reported it was Howie. He didn't say if Howie promoted him to DC however. He also said the office thing did ruffle feathers of other coaches.

most of the philly media is slimy. They love drumming up controversy to hurt "their" team.

That’s any major market teams media.  It drives clicks/reads/views…thus money.  It’s not unique to Philly.

Not sure if this is reliable. Equally unclear, if this man is actively having a stroke while giving this report.

Good God. They are going to bring in Frank to help Siri hire coordinators? He can't even handle that on his own?

It's like somehow a kid in the mail-room of a Fortune 500 company got the CEO job.

Get this amateur out of here already.

And to think they didn't just get him but they are getting Florida's first round pick over the summer.

But but but, he made the playoffs three straight years.

I'd be very happy with Sneed or Jaylon Johnson in free agency. I'd think Johnson gets more money. Not sure how much money we're going to have to play with. Can you get Sneed/Johnson, a LB such as Azeez Al-Shaair or Jordyn Brooks and a mid tier safety, there's quite a few available. Winfield Jr will most likely be priced out unfortunately.

Oh, that I agree with in general. But McManus, Berman, Sheil, these guys never really bothered me too much.

Jerod Johnson is the Texans QB coach? That’s a little enticing tbh.

CJ Stroud did have an almost MVP type of season as a rookie. 🤷🏻‍♂️
