I would assume Ricks will get that consideration as well. With Rodgers being the slot.

Makes a lot of sense to be honest. Rodgers has played something like 17 snaps at nickel CB so he shouldn't be thought of as some plug and play in the slot.

5’10 178 he’s a bit small, I think that’s where the nickel ideas come from. That’s also what the plan was for the Colts when they drafted him, as well as being a special teams ace.

Nickel corners play more than most positions, probably only after the safeties and outside corners.

Maybe.  Any S has to be factored against Brown being viewed as the third S and eventual starter by the Eagles.  So right now the starters are likely Blankenship and CJGJ with Brown probably getting the full PUP treatment and then sliding into #3.  Dependent on the draft, of course.  Who of the FA ILBs do you think they are going to sign? Almost sounds like Baun may be viewed as an ILB based on his presser.  Don’t see a CB in free agency.  If BPA, could certainly see a nickel CB in the draft. 

Wonder when we’ll get Josh Sweat news? I’m assuming he’s the one getting traded. But I thought that would maybe have been done by now

No complaints from me.   Dean gets better,  VanSumeren gets better.  High ceilings and they move toward those ceilings.

Last year,  it was Dean and Morrow going into the preseason,  and most thought that was fine,  although some did complain.   Cunningham and Myles Jack were brought in.  Injuries and then Leonard.  VanSumeren, as a rookie,  wasn't thought of a whole lot in the preseason,  but he emerged as the best PFF ILB on the Eagles.   Which get should make Eagles fans excited because "best"  and "almost free"  are an excellent combination.  Resources can be spent elsewhere.
