He was bad last year.

What I hate most about the signing isn't Devin White himself. It's the fact that they passed on all these much better players, which made me think after how bad their LBs were in 2023, they had some plan or some guy they were targeting. And the fact that they end up just signing White shows that they either have no clue how to evaluate the position or they still don't care about the position whatsoever. And that they had no plan. If you're going to spend this much for White, why not go out and pursue Brooks or something?

But you know why he played on the outside already? Cause they have Kenny Moore who is small. Rodgers was primarily an outside CB so hes tested there. Might be the plan all along.

Guy’s cooked like a Sunday goose.

Its an absolute flyer. Up to $7.5m means it will packed with incentives.

The range of outcomes is wide on this one - I'd say lower probability that he finds his old form and this signing turns out well for us, higher probability that he is just more of the same guy from last year i.e. he can make some plays but overall isn't a good player. I mean the dude got benched late last year.

This is a classic Howie move late in FA. They probably will still target LB in draft, ideally Day 2 but this signing gives them someone to push the younger guys over TC a little and forms part of a fall back plan if they cant land their guys in the draft.
