Glad some of you don’t have a FO job lol. Giving up on 23 and 26 year old players all day.

Curious.  Which 'players' are you referring to?

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Experience atleast… I forget where he was ranked in nfl.com top 101 but he was ranked which is more then we can say about our starters last year.

Its another 1 year deal. So while the eagles paid him potentially like a starter, they didnt show confidence in him being a long term answer.

Theres nothing really left in free agency. But, this doesnt look like it would preclude them from drafting one early.

Also, for a washed guy, the playmaking stats are pretty solid.

Rumor is his play was due to him giving up on his team in a contract dispute. Hopefully he’s re-energized

Didn't really pay attention to him last year so I thought people were exaggerating but PFF had him at a 46?! Good lord is that bad. It's still a one year deal so I'm not going to make a big deal out of it but... Meh.

It's a solid move. He brings experience. There's not much left out there. I like it

Unless Baker is one of those guys who hated Fangio, how in the hell did they pursue Devin White over Baker?

And I'm not even a fan of Baker. But he's certainly better than Devin White.

Can someone explain to me why Devin White is a cooked, terrible LB? Isn’t he young? I doubt that he’s all they do at LB so I’m just happy having a real NFL body at the position for now.

That's the kind of leadership this team desperately needs.

Some of yall are so negative

My friend who is a bucs fan is super upset. He said he is good but just hated playing for them.

He's 26. He had a down year last season but it was a solid one nonetheless

I'm fine with White.  He has a ton of talent & he's young.  Big upside.  Sure there were issues but he should be motivated to have a great year.  We'll see.

Im happy to have somebody who actually has a clue how to play the position.

I am hopeful.

I was hopeful with Dean, Cunningham, and Jack last year.

But I'm still hopeful.

I'm fine with White, but there should be a more established and productive vet brought in like Foye or JOK, plus a draftee in round 2.

Just a reminder, Shaq Leonard was 27 years old last year.

Josh Sweat is 26 years old.    Not all '26' year olds are the same.   Some have more mileage than others.

I don't think Sweat is washed at all.  I think he just went rogue.

It’s a 1 year deal we’re not married to the guy

I think he's close to be washed.  His knees are about 46, rather than 26.

exactly.  Hes an option

This one is a bit odd. Bad coverage which Fangio will want someone good at it but good blitzer which Fangio barely does.

That's the good news.

Samuel and Mooney are gone.

Better get one of Ced Wilson or Hollywood Brown.

Lower end option of Hollins is gone too. Guess Chark could still be a possibility.

The Eagles could also stop signing free agents entirely and wait to see what the draft brings.   Is S Simmons from Denver (because Fangio) still available?  That seems like a nice match,  but if not,  no big deal.

I look at the salary cap and I don't see much in the way of "base salary" to be converted into bonus.   Howie is a master of pushing money as far into the future as possible,  and it looks to me that he's done that for the most part.

I wouldn't at all mind if he kept some money in the bank.   I'm very happy with Barkley,  a top, top choice at RB, a position that is cheap, yet so important.  The loss or Cox and Kelce were both well prepared for.   CJGJ is back,  that's 1 new, proven, add to the back 5.

The draft should bring a quality CB.  I like Cooper DeJean but 4.28 Wiggins is also an option.    Then there are a bunch more picks bringing a bunch more players.   And I'll find udfas,  I already have mentioned a lot that I like, probably not starting the season on the 53, but maybe, and maybe practice squad to start, if they get them.

Leonard had 2 back surgeries along with other injuries. I like Sweat but think he's a bit overrated. I'd also take Reddick over Sweat if I had to choose
