He's 26. He had a down year last season but it was a solid one nonetheless

His last three years have been down years.  This is a flyer because he’s talented.  There were other (perhaps a bit more expensive) and better options.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Devin White can absolutely fly so even if he lost a step he’d still have a step on most. He’s like 27 at most though so not sure how he would have been cooked already. His physical skill set it perfect IMO.

He’s been ass against the run recently but hopefully Vic has a plan for him.

Leonard had 2 back surgeries along with other injuries. I like Sweat but think he's a bit overrated. I'd also take Reddick over Sweat if I had to choose

As would I.

Didn't realize he was taken fifth overall in 2019 and he's just 26. Not too excited by this but maybe a change of scenery will help.

Really need to get Cooper in the draft.

I think he's close to be washed.  His knees are about 46, rather than 26.

He still had one of the best get off times last year of all DLs or Edges. Cant remember which. But I remember him listed very close to the top when the stat was brough up for Huff.

He has great burst which would be the first thing to go. He just bursted up field every play with no regard for what was actually happening.

It’s a 1 year deal we’re not married to the guy

And mediocre would be an upgrade, sadly

Would have rather had him.... Be interesting to see the relative contracts when full details are out

Curious.  Which 'players' are you referring to?

Saquon and CJGJ Monday.

Dean and White today.

Tomorrow it’ll be Sydney Brown and Kelee Ringo. The next day it’ll be Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith.

anyone remember what beast's asking price was when White was mentioned at trade deadline last year? I feel like it was something astronimical like a 1st and a 3rd+. Whatever it was, it seems bucs fans still thought he was good.

I don't think Sweat is washed at all.  I think he just went rogue.

Which is kind of the book on White but then again I think Sweat could thrive in another situation too.  I'm looking for the best case scenario.  We all know that might not happen but as you said let's remain hopeful.  There's a legit shot

I know neither player are what they used to be, but imagine telling Eagles fans 3 years ago we’d have Devin White & Saquon Barkley on the team one day lol

Hopefully we find out that both are what they used to be.

Didn't really pay attention to him last year so I thought people were exaggerating but PFF had him at a 46?! Good lord is that bad. It's still a one year deal so I'm not going to make a big deal out of it but... Meh.

The most likely outcome is he's another Shaq Leonard.

But like that move, the upside is super high if he can get back to 80% of his old form, even if the chances of that happening are slim.

I'm fine with White.  He has a ton of talent & he's young.  Big upside.  Sure there were issues but he should be motivated to have a great year.  We'll see.

He should have been motivated last year.

I think both of them still have the upside and potential that they had then. White is coming off of 1 bad season, and Saquon is a beast on a garbage team.

Devin JUST turned 26 and Saquon just turned 27. Calling them washed and cooked acts like they’re 35 lol.

This one is a bit odd. Bad coverage which Fangio will want someone good at it but good blitzer which Fangio barely does.

Fangio tends to rush four but which of the LBs is the four is part of his scheme.   Does rush from the ILB position.

5 seasons. 3 over 120 tackles. Contract dispute. Openly stated he wanted to leave. I like the upside of this signing.

I never called em washed or cooked

Ive also been one of the main supporters in here with Saquon

White freelances, can’t cover, and is best in an attacking/blitzing scheme. I just don’t see a fit here at all.

CJGJ freelances too, so between the two of them there will be some high variance games.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’m just not loving this FA haul. Not a fan of paying up for a 27-year-old RB, signing Davante Parker to a guaranteed minimum contract, signing CJGJ (unless he really is going to play nickel some).

I really like Huff, Hennessy and Baun.

Nobody should feel guilty about wanting more from a LB addition after that national embarrassment they put out on the field in 2023. Not going to get excited about a guy who was bad in 2023. Maybe he’ll discover his talent. But we should expect better than such a low bar after the slop we had to watch all season.

I know this guy got a little recognition after the combine workout, but Dadrion Taylor-Demerson reminds me of a Sneed type safety prospect.

Not a major program, but theres this safety hiding in plain sight with great speed, and CB like movement skills.

Hes not as tall as sneed and probably projects to stay at safety rather than make a switch to CB. But I really like Taylor-Demerson now that Ive gotten around to watching him.

I also think we can enjoy yelling "DADRION!!" at the top of the art museum steps during next year's super bowl parade.

Here are some highlights.

LB needs more. White is better than what we have, but there's a reason he was picked up "late" for one year.
