There were really only two options at DC this off-season.

(a) Vic Fangio

(b) Ron Rivera

No way was this team going with a young up and comer...again.

And I agree with that, since the head coach is a buffoon you need experienced coordinators.  And I would have been okay with with either of them, but it would be nice at some point to have an aggressive defense again.

Yeah Miami is looking at him.  I like Frazier a lot.  But they love Fangio and I can't fault it.  A year ago I'd have told you he was the best DC in the league and that's probably still true despite fan souring because of this season

Wonder if that means Renaldo Hill is no longer joining Fangio’s staff.

Anyway, almost feels like we re-booted … every coaching position being hired with fresh blood (other than Sirianni ).

Maybe Dolphins didn't let Hill go.  Also Stoutland still there and I think Sirriani saved Patullo

Being reported that Scott will be hired for a senior defensive role. Whatever that is

Amazing how much easier it is to put together a coaching staff when you're not going to the SB

I mean if that really is the case (and I secretly hope so) then why is he still here? Just make Moore the HC and be done with it.

Who also do we have who can water the flowers and be a head Clown at the same time? LOL.   We do not want to look bad by firing HC, after HC..so we will keep him around for another year and promote him in title only to Head Motivational Speaker. As long as he does NO harm and lets the new guys do their thing..I am fine with that.

Probably some sort of Pass D coordinator & defensive backs coach

They're overcorrecting by stockpiling experienced coaches. It has potential for internal promotions.

Great hire.  I got to meet him a few times when he coached for Louisville.  I'm not sure if he coaches the same in the pros, but this dude will get in players' faces and challenge them.  This is exactly what someone like Jordan Davis needs.

I like the coach hires tbh, but now they simply have to give them the right players to make this work.

What we've got simply isn't good enough.

If the team does well and Moore is in demand for a HC opening elsewhere, do not be surprised to see Siri fired and Moore promoted to become HC

They've put themselves in a difficult position because if it goes well who do you give most credit to? As the CEO HC Sirianni would deserve credit but so would the coordinators so it is going to be hard for them to determine I think.

I wouldn't expect them to let Stout go ... and they have already announced he'll be back.  Anyway that reponse was more an attempt at humor (swing and a miss! haha) but I do like that they more or less rebuilt the coaching staff on the defensive side.  Not many changes on the offenside side (yet ... who knows if that will change much outside of QB coach ... gut feeling is no).

About time honestly. I've said it a billion times, unless your young coach is generational or weird (Dolphins guy), pairing up a younger guy with a full staff younger than them is a recipe for disaster. Eagles made sure Doug, with his lack of experience, had someone like Schwartz around. No such guidance for Sirianni.

This "report” states he was hired as DB coach.

I'm always fine with that.  Know your strengths and weaknesses then hire to fix your weaknesses.

Fangio seems like a stronger personality to want his guys.

On O the TE coach worked with Sirriani but he was experienced with a good rep so he could stay. RB coach possibly too. I think maybe the swap out WR coach

Cool, so now the front office is basically admitting that Sirianni's only worth as a coach is to be a figure head for the staff and be propped up by great coordinators. We are heading into drak times for this organization I fear.

Little early to be microdosing isnt it?

Did we ever hire a linebackers coach? I think Mike caldwell and Joe Barry were being considered.

I'm a fan of it. I think the issues we had this season were mostly because of the changes.  hopefully the moves made get us back on track.

Doubtful. Success at coaching the offense doesn't exactly translate to being a good/great HC.  They would stick with Nick if the team bounces back and has a strong playoff run, and or wins the SB next season. Moore would definitely become a HC in that scenario, just not here.
