Anthony Belton 6’5” T 345 lbs from NC State

Belton is an enormous tackle with good power and long arms. He can bulldoze the roads clean for running backs but needs to play with better hand placement to sustain his early lead. Belton has the length to shove rushers up and around the pocket but his punch timing is inconsistent and he lacks the body control to consistently respond to inside counters. If a team can steady his feet and improve his hand placement, he could become a solid starter at right tackle, but he will need some help from time to time.

They have him on the site you just posted as early third rounder

Would offer some continuity for Hurts, having someone in he already knows

Like last season was the guy known his family his whole life

Body control and hand placement issues….but enormous and powerful…sounds like a Stout special to me.

Let’s sum it all up:

  • Released: QB Derek Carr (post-June 1), DE Cameron Jordan (post-June 1), DT Khalen Saunders, RB Jamaal Williams, WR Cedrick Wilson Jr., TE Foster Moreau, S J.T. Gray. Saves $23.7 million
  • Restructured: OL Erik McCoy, OL Cesar Ruiz, DE Carl Granderson, LB Demario Davis, S Tyrann Mathieu, RB Alvin Kamara, DT Nathan Shepherd. Saves $32.8 million
  • Traded: WR Chris Olave. Saves $3.3 million

Reading an article and this was the guys outline for the saints and how to get under the cap

Kick in some Kendrick Lamar….Not Like Us

The other option was to restructure Carr would be stuck with him but they could I guess lower his cap hit from 50m down to like 23m.

So yea will be interesting to see what the Saints do lol 😂

There's a red gas tank next to Darius Slay's locker with a note from defensive backs coach Christian Parker: How much gas do you have left in the Big Play tank? CP

So again if you read my comment when I said move the old guys they can…. Key word CAN that would mean they can only move Carr and one other doesn’t change what my post said.

They can't really move all the old guys...only 2 of them. One has to be Carr.

Yes...all those old guys...they have to restructure. Can only post June cut 2 players.  If they pre June cut them...it creates more of a cap hit than they have now

Then on top of that. They have to have room to sign the draft class... I see them trading down.  If they were smart, they would do it multiple times.

Carter is a stud...saved the season for us.

The guy I most don’t want Moore to get from us is Clint Hurtt. Dline/Senior Defensive Assistant

Which again still fits the "who they CAN” lmao 🤣 like you keep trying to spin it because you didn’t read my comment…. If it’s only two guys guess what it’s still moving the old guys THEY CAN

It really wasn’t that deep of a take I said and " Saints needs to try and get out of Carr and all the old contracts they can”

I did not deep dive wasn’t that serious for me if it was only two guys guess what that’s getting out of all the old players contracts they CAN

I'm not spinning anything.  They have like 10 old guys.  They can post June cut 2 of them...and one will be Carr.

Just pointing out that they are going to be forced to extend a lot of old guys instead of releasing them.

Didn't realize there was any spin or debate here?   Thought I was just adding to your point?   Maybe your day with Ham has you on edge?

And watching the Rams game with AJ's drop, a false start and illegal lineman ...Elliot missing kicks

They could have easily put up 170.

95 in the last 2 games...lol

Just dominant!!!!

It does almost just read like he’s the new OC.

But he’s got a real nice comfy position. Could just get a real nice raise perhaps?

Who’s going to be Kellen Moore’s DC?

I would think Hill goes away before Jordan. They at least need some defense to even have a shot at winning any games

Is the idea to actually win games next year?   Losing gets better draft position in each round?    Plus you have to think they would want to be able to trade some pieces later.  Hill is younger probably get more for him?

Olave to me is the interesting one, he is young enough to build around, but not sure they can afford to pay him with his rookie deal expiring.

BG gave pretty much the exact scenario of what they have to do.  Olave is interesting because they could trade him,  only saves $3 million right away..but at the same time then they don't have to spend future money to keep him.

It's an absolute mess!
