Rushing and passing averages on RPOs were down in 2023. To back up my eyes with actual stats.

Yes...the stats backed up a lot of people's eyes for sure

Here's the issue right here

Hard for any team to win with a one legged QB. He’s one tough dude!

Agree...Mahomes was a tough dude playing on one leg in the SB

But there was this factor also:

It should be pointed out that all offensive production is down this season, not just RPOs. Scoring is down (from 21.9 points per game to 21.6). Yards per game are down (from 342.1 to 330.1). Yards per play are down (from 5.4 to 5.2). Rushing yards per game are down (from 121.6 to 109.8).

Rule changes bud. Bubble ball will keep bringing those down

I mean...the wildcat...the RPO...those things have a shelf life to where they get figured out and you can't use them constantly.

But what doesn't change = your QB seeing the field and making the throws.

We're haters because we see it

D vs Tampa first game....D vs Miami... D vs Seattle for 59 minutes.

O also lit up Washington both times...and Buffalo.

Seattles O wasn’t any danger. But yes on the Miami game. That was the other moment Desai shined. Completely agree on the very unexpected way Desai had the D step up there.

Any idiot can see our QB's best trait is his running ability.   Whether speed, being tough to bring down or escaping.    Without that aspect, it's a concern.

Do we have faith...doesn't matter.  What matters is if he performs...that's it.  If the league will limit his running...then improve all facets of the passing game.

If they take away the simple RPO reads...then learn how to mentally play NFL QB.

Ham very astutely pointed out teams figuring out the RPO league wide.   Time to evolve then... we haven't seen this yet from our QB.  But now we have a new OC...let's see how this non RPO style works

Idk about giving Desai so much credit... players were at home on a Monday night ..first night in green. Or was it Sunday night....either way.

That was clearly overblown. He ran very well for crucial conversions in that game. Had no problems planting to throw or anything. But Mahomes is a tough competitor for sure.

I’d think the opposite

Brought Kool-Aid in for a visit - don't want him.

A lot of what I don't like - quick outs to Goedert, short stuff on 3rd and 7 - is going to go away with Kellen Moore. Read where he doesn't care what level of football plays come from as long as they work. Also styless - just plays with a huge playbook. Going to be rough on the new C. Should be an increase in mid and long ball. Sounds good but as long as I've been around, the further down the field, the lower the success. Would like another heavy RB, expect to see more motion and outside zone. Going to be quite a change from the vanilla we've been seeing.

I think these guys are such elite athletes... Mahomes ,Hurts etc.. they can still move when hurt a little.

I remember as a teenager seeing Randall live.... casually rolling to his right, dude ate up space so fast.  Charlie Garner looked like he was shot out of a cannon!

The heavy RBs are a rare breed today.

Smith's cap hits combined....2024-2028 ... 5 years...are combined total of just over $61 mil.

Can't wait to see Lamb's

Wow! I really miss watching Charlie Garner

Read where Kellen sometimes puts an OL in for where a FB would be - I'm liking this guy!

Why do we need another heavy RB? Bark should like it here, he can play 2 downs instead of 3 sometimes. Gains is fine as a COP back. I also expect some wrinkles using a WR in the backfield(like Hill used to do in KC)

Eagles have spent the most money in the NFL this offseason. Cowboys have spent the least. Eagles have all their key players locked up contractually. We don't. Eagles have added so many good players. We've added Eric Kendricks, for 3 mil. Philly=contender. We=miss playoffs.

Here it is. After weeks on the phones with GMs and HC’s, my first 2024 Mock Draft. https://nfl.com/news/peter-schrager-2024-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-giants-leap-up-for-j-j-mccarthy-vikings-stick-and-pick-cb-qb - Giants trade up for JJ McCarthy - QBs go 1-4 - Colts trade up for Malik Nabers - Eagles take Cooper DeJean - Broncos go… Defense.

https://hawkeyeswire.usatoday.com/lists/iowa-hawkeyes-football-cooper-dejean-nfl-social-media-pro-day-draft/  I hope Howie can do it. 123 called him early on. I just don't know if Howie has it in him to pull this trigger.  I hope he does. Super versatile, young, strong and we need this infusion in a bad way. I will cross my fingers. As I said I didn't consider him because of Howie's traditions, but I hope he breaks those now. Would really bolster our defense immediately

I will try a mock with DeJean at 22 just to see how that could play out
