I'm interested to see if we can win if I feel the roster is good enough and we have the health. I'm more focused on why we would win...not which coach can do the least worst with a bad or mediocre roster. We gave that cushion, which was awful. maybe because Slay and Bradberry couldn't handle things anymore(aka getting burned deep). Still we gave up easy yardage. It's like we played prevent defense the whole time. Not a good look

But when he would run ... he ran hard. And no dumb turnovers...except for Superbowl. Yeah his runs were weak. No fighting for the yards like 2022. He was impressing Howie to get a better contract. When he got that he played like a little girl. When I see receivers waving their arms in the air because they are open and Hurts doesn't even look at them,I have issues

Don’t see him as becoming a top two level starting S. He didn’t show well in coverage in the slot.

And slot isn’t even a easy position for a veteran let alone a rookie on a bad defense of unit

But he is a good mentor for our young DBs.
January 22, 20241 yr Author OT-I'm sad. I have to put one of my dogs down tomorrow. She has a 452 year old German bloodline and is the LAST genetically black Schnauzer. I had the vet get some eggs from her when she was young. They are frozen at AKC because she is a rare genetically black one and the last of her kind 😞
January 22, 20241 yr Not to mention then switching DC on a rookie player being asked to do something likely different from what Desai was doing. Think Brown showed plenty of flashes for the situation he was tossed into

Doesn’t cover well enough for many S roles.

We need Howie to get some real talent in here. I suggested Trotter(LB) and Tampa(CB) in round 2 for a youth infusion. We need to replace quantity with qualilty

January 22, 20241 yr Expectations should be very mild for Sidney next season. New D and he’s not going to be on the ball while recovering from his ACL.

He ran a 4.4 by comparison Reed Blankenship ran a 4.5… Could being a rookie and confused by what exactly he was being asked to do have effected his playing speed having to hesitate and think about stuff…
January 22, 20241 yr Author BTW,I stand by my goal of 31 PPG. We got close last year with 29 and change, this year it dropped to 25 and change. And this was the same offense basically. Should at least have held serve at 29. No production from the slot spot

January 22, 20241 yr Then on top of all that switching DC AGAIN mid season and likely being asked to do other things even the vets were talking about how it was on them with the switch
