Why can't we use the LS ...after placing him on the practice squad? Why does anyone need to go on IR any time soon?

It's what...year 4 or so now...you can stash guys at the bottom of the 53... with the idea those guys would be poached..and they sign guys you know won't get poached to the PS...and then play them. Like 3 times...which gives the opening for 3 weeks of anyone that gets injured to go on IR and then if we choose we can elevate the PS player to the 53.

They have used this tactic every year the last few years. Do we really think they need 11 OL? They don't but they can bring up DBs and Punt returners from the PS....they wanted to lock in the OL so they don't get poached. Shouldn't be difficult to understand in 2025.

who is going to poach a LS? They then have to cut a guy... your mind needs to stop wandering... nobody is going to poach our LS... the guy doesn't even go on waivers. Do you understand the rules... or is this another long conversation like the tampering that you didn't get?

Correct.... but 53 guys are locked on the roster.... you don't play all of them. But you have been allowed to play guys from the PS for a few years now. It should be obvious that we stash guys on the bottom of the 53 without any real intention to play them... because we can dress an emergency QB now along with dressing multiple guys from the PS up to a certain extent.

Cover returned punts for us multiple weeks without being on the roster. You can see the one obvious move is to use the LS from the PS ... would not be shocking if they did the same thing with another position, perhaps the returner? Who knows.

The point is the 53 man roster is not the only list that we can use a player during games... and due to that, fact, it's been obvious that we stash guys on the 53 to protect them, even without any intention of playing them. In theory, there are guys on the PS that are ahead of some of the guys on the 53 when it comes to having a chance to actually play.
