Very true. Hurts seemed in control even when flushed. Nice to see and what we both wanted to see over the years that got us labeled as haters LOL. I haven't had to use the word BONEHEAD for quite awhile now(but I could use it on Carter LOL)

On the bright side....Young got a bunch of snaps. .they got to play without Carter.... and now there is a reason for Carter to grind and focus... plus... maybe it saves us some $$$ in the end here. Who knows.

Moving on ... the rest of the week one games to enjoy as a 1-0 squad.

Coach talking now....made a point to say nobody scored after the weather delay. Tonight was just off..this was the type of game they would lose back in the day.

The good thing is nobody seems happy at all.

The offensive play calling in the first half for both teams ... the defensive play calling not so much. So what happened in the second half that turned that pattern into its head. I believe there were five contributing factors.

(1) the Cowboys play calling in the first half wasn't as good as the scoreboard would lead you to believe. 50 yards rushing was modest and 127 yards passing was good, but not great. The passing benefited from two Eagles factors much more than the play calling ... Lamb's 86 yards taking advantage of Adoree's soft coverage, and the 74 yards of penalties against the Eagles which gave the Cowboys four free 1st and 10s

(2) Defensive adjustments by both Defensive Coordinators at Half Time and in the Weather Delay

(3) Dickerson's replacement after his back tightened up

(4) The weather delay effectively eliminating the "second half D-Line wear down" factor that typically happens after the constant pounding of the Eagles O-Line.

(5) In many ways, the play calling for the running plays was very similar to the play calling for the running plays in the Super Bowl. In that game AJ was a factor. In this game he was not.

They ran the clock out at the end... 2 minutes...Dallas with 3 timeouts ..they were able to run the clock out.

24-20 a FG would do them no good, they were forced to go for the TD. Lambs 2 drops sealed it. He will be sitting alone on the flight back to Dullaz LOL

Now we have to go to Arrowhead for the SB rematch game. Going to be alot tougher than this game was

We ran the clock out. That sealed it...otherwise they would have had plenty of time to score.

Btw...I wouldn’t call the last Dallas play a drop...he dove and didn't come up with it. That's not a drop like the one that went off of Blankenship afterwards.

Yeah I was very surprised Schotty Jr was forcing the ideal matchups so often. Fangio had to know this is what was going to be attempted.

Except without the Lamb drops the entire end of the game changes especially if they had scored. So the Lamb drops sealed it, now we had control of the game and clock

Had his leg bent trying to push the block and it was a bad plant, the push tore his knee up. I would say he is out for the year. I hope I'm wrong,but not a good sign when the cart comes out
