We need to contain Irving, White etc....so that our defense doesn't get gassed and keep the game from snowballing on us like last year and the Arizona game at the end of 2023. Why not? There are many ways to lose games. The Lamb drops for Dullaz (he is a receiver last I checked) Every game consists of the running game and passing game and you can lose ignoring either one. Sure, they will try to dictate the pace of the game. Evans being out for them is a huge loss for sure, but that doesn't mean you ignore the other 2. Both are capable of burning you. IDK if Godwin has 7 targets and 4 are TD's that could be a problem? This will be his first game back so I'm not expecting him to be that sharp,still I can't take that for granted. Mayfield isn't afraid to let it loose, so he can also be picked off, so I hope that's how it goes

Because the Tampa game plan vs Hurts was press the outside WRs and rush 6. They didn't do that the game AJ played. He completely changes the defensive strategy for them.

We didn't lose to Tampa because of their WRs...none of them have that impact like the running game in that 120 degree field temp

Because if Godwin catches 4 or 7 passes....and we stop their run game...it's not going to matter.

I assume you are saying Bucs. Yes and no. Technically they will be up on us 4-0 versus 3-1. What really matters is what the status is at the end of Week 18. Their win over us would become moot if our record and their record are not identical. If our records are identical, then they have the tiebreaker advantage due to the head-to-head win over us, so that is not simply 1 win, but rather 1 win plus.

Now you are talking about tie breakers, that's a different animal. A W is still a W and they are both worth the same. If we won all 6 conference games and lost the rest our record would be 6-11. We could win the division with a losing record

Baker Mayfield has an injury to his throwing arm, he did not throw at all this week until today's practice.

Godwin has not played for a year.

T storms 2 days prior none on game day, so it WILL be humid as usual. As I said before keeping our guys hydrated will be very important. You need to keep drinking even though you don't think you need it. Cramps hit fast. I'm glad they went in a day early to get more used to it
