November 9Nov 9 39 minutes ago, mattwill said:Some of the posters argued for 5, one more than 4. "Howie has said previously that every player has a price… except for franchise QB. If you have a franchise QB you know can start for you for a long time, then even 5 first round picks still isn’t enough. It’s not about whether or not Hurts is worth 5 1sts, it’s about where your team is at after you lose him" and "I would think even right now his value should be more than 3 firsts without knowing the intricacies of his contract. They just supposedly offered 3 firsts for a 30 year old DE. If he was superbowl mvp again his value would be so high to the Eagles no team would offer what that would take."The answer to your question is "a QB-hungry team"Who offered 3 firsts? Plus..Who ( other than Ham) thinks Hurts is a better player than Garrett? Nobody is offering 3 firsts for Hurts. He can win 3 more SBs...the narrative is out there that he wins due to his team. Again...other than Ham...nobody thinks he carries the team. He is dealt a great hand...and he wins. Name a team that you think would offer 2 firsts plus say another 2nd or 3rd? Another contender probably already has a QB. A rebuilding team isn't going to offer that??? The narrative won't change... Hurts will be seen as a winner....all the intangibles..But his team will be perceived as to why he wins.

That would feel Hurts is the answer...enough to win without having 5 first round picks to help him? Ham doesn't use examples and talks in the hypothetical... hypothetical isn't the real world... that's why we are asking for a real scenario.

November 9Nov 9 Author https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-salary-cap-history/ Walker was traded prior to the salary cap(aka league parity) when teams prior to that could spend unlimited amounts to literally buy a championship

Which round 1 picks, pick 5 or pick 30?Any Round 1 pick in a future year has uncertainty about which pick it will be. We can't know future year win-loss records in advance.

AI gives a current answer as follows:Teams with a high need for a quarterback include the New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, and New Orleans Saints. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals are also frequently mentioned as potential QB-needy teams. Teams frequently mentioned as QB-needyNew York Jets: Often cited as a top-needy team, especially as their 2026 draft position is projected to be high.Las Vegas Raiders: Considered one of the most likely teams to seek a new quarterback.Cleveland Browns: In need of a long-term solution, even after drafting quarterbacks.New Orleans Saints: Considered the most obvious team needing a quarterback and potentially in a position to draft first overall.Pittsburgh Steelers: Frequently mentioned as a team with a quarterback need.Arizona Cardinals: Often included on lists of teams that could be looking for a new quarterback.
