My gut tells me they have zero interest in playing and so would end up a waste for the Eagles to play their guys. Allen could have just made the pass and no discussion at all, would have been Sam Howell and AJ Dillon week.

December 30, 2025Dec 30 To get ahead of a bunch of nonsense posts, here is the logical explanation for the Eagles waiving Charley Hughlet. The reason is once he clears waivers they sign him to the Practice Squad and then elevate him in Week 18. Practice Squad elevations reset for the playoffs and each player is eligible for unlimited elevations in the Playoffs.So cutting Hughlet effectively gives the Eagles an extra Roster spot.
