You're not wrong and if they have to dumb down the play calling for Hurts there's an even bigger problem

But why then does it manifest itself every OTHER year?

If Hurts were the main problem wouldn't it show up EVERY year?

Hurts did really do anything under Moore though. Difference was the ground game and Saquon running for 2k.

Hurts had 14 games including playoffs with under 250 yards passing under Moore.

Only 4 games over 250 yards passing

And he was still willing to run and use his legs which offset the lack of throwing numerous reports have come out stated Hurts is wanting to run less.

the offense was in quicksand to begin the 2024 season. after a 2-2 start and 7 turnovers by the qb, it was apparent that moore needed to dumb his offense down for the qb and take the ball out of his hands.

now i will admit that jalen willed the team to victory, no doubt every time he handed the ball off to barkley and watched him break off a big run.

Yep,I called it the KISS offense

Makes you think even more about Hurts limitations when Kellen Moore in NO on a way worst roster and a rookie QB in Tyler Shough throw for 250+ yards in 5 out of his 11 starts they won 4 of those 5 games

This is the same thing I say about Dak every other year he looks good. Hurts isn't the only problem but he is part of it. The play calling sucked but that doesn't make up for 2 games with 0 completions in the second half, or no 300 yard games when he needed to take over the game.

Hurts struggles going through his progressions and reading a defense. I'll give him credit he throws a good deep ball but that's about it. He doesn't throw with timing ever it's always after the break and late.

lol we are interviewing Matt Nagy for our OC job why do I feel like we always go back to AR for coaches

to be clear, i'm a fan of hurts, but i'm not going to ignore the reality that he has limitations. that said, i think he can get better if he gets with the right OC.

Because he is one of the best coaches ever and we like his sloppy seconds. Lol.

No because it depends on Hurts surrounding cast, which sometimes changes. The O line drop off was the biggest change. it exposed Hurts for the weak QB he is, then on top of that he decided he's not going to run anymore. So what's left? A mediocre QB behind an average O line. If the supporting cast is not WAY above average, Hurts can't play, he has to have others carry him

Hurts is fine when he protects the ball and gives you the plus plays with his legs. But if he is serious about not wanting to run as much anymore I don’t have a ton of faith in him as just a pure passer

It's the KISS offense. Hurts is(was) a RB who can throw. He got booted in Bama and had to transfer to play because he lost the starting job in Bama

He has a weak arm, he's good on "deep" if you call 40 yards deep. He's not going to hit a 60 yard post pattern. Sometimes you need laser shot passes and Hurts weak arm doesn't get it there. It' why he hesitates and BTW how many underthrown balls did we see. That is if he can even spot the open guy. Joe showed 1 play where 3 guys were open and he threw it incomplete. Hurts is MEDIOCRE

Joe and I were pushing for him to become a complete QB. He played well enough with his surrounding cast(see dominant O line) to win a SB, then he pu&&ied out and decided he didn't want to risk injury with his new wife on the line,so he made a side deal which negated the reason he got the big money. He is a SELLOUT. Ham labelled me a #hater, when reality was my bar was set higher,to the same standards I want from others. He never got there and now he sold this team down the river. He will be fine with his loot. I hope he chokes on it. If I was a #hater, he gave me a reason now

I argued last year about him not being a top 5-10 QB because of his decision making and I said because of his arm, his vision and timing. I was laughed at but it's obvious after this year.

That's what we're stuck with for 2 more agonizing years. A sellout

I wouldn’t say sellout I would say he decided he was more important than the team.

I wouldn't have laughed because it's all true. His field vision is STILL HORRIBLE

Jalen vs zone coverage sucks

That's a sellout. He got the big loot then said I'm not going to play. I'll give 60% and EFF everyone else

He can't read them, that causes indecision, then he runs for 4 yards OOB. We hardly even see the tush push anymore. he got his big payday and bailed on the team

I keep saying I'd trade him and our 1 for Joe Burrow 6 million difference in pay this year

Love Burrow, but he gets hurt alot. I suppose even our weaker O line is better than what he has in cincy.

Joe Burrow been sacked 213 times in 77 games he has played in or 2.7 times a game…. That not even counting the number of times he is hit when he get rid of the ball.

Jalen Hurts in 93 games has only been sacked 183 times for a comparison

So now I hear "talk" of trading McKee. I would rather trade Hurts. I'm all for drafting Allar also. We are stuck with Mr. Sellout at least for a year

But Hurts doesn't leave or miss many games, Burrow does

Yea getting hit by 300 pound DL the rate Burrow does will do that to you…. Ask Andrew Luck as well about it. Cant think of a single QB that has taken a beating the way Burrow has that has stayed healthy
