February 21Feb 21 So what’s the case that can be made on AJ’s side as and to remain an Eagles? Very curious what viewpoint could possibly be a defense time of him and all that.
February 21Feb 21 "He’s just unfortunately a player who allows his internal frustrations to manifest into his play, and it makes him play worse and makes the offense worse and it makes his energy worse,” Kelce said. " ... "Some guys can block (frustration) out and just go out there and play football. He is clearly not one of those guys.” Jason Kelce statement attempting to defend AJ

" ... "Some guys can block (frustration) out and just go out there and play football. He is clearly not one of those guys.” Jason Kelce statement attempting to defend AJI tried to tell you early on, you just refused to listen. Maybe now you can respect me a little more? I was not employed by businesses for my health, nor theirs. Kelce is not "attempting". It's exactly what I TOLD YOU to expect isn't it??? But you need Kelce to explain it and echo what I already said. Got it. "You may see, but you don't comprehend. You may hear, but you don't listen. You may judge with no understanding of what it is you judge". I'm not arguing with you anymore Ham because it's an effort in futility. Just say "NC was right all along" and we can leave it at that. Now maybe too, you can understand why I am correct about your hero also. He can win back this team if he so chooses. That is not up to your or me, it is however a FACT. You can see it for what it is or not. That is beyond my control. Maybe read this post a few times. All I can hope for is that it sinks in.
February 21Feb 21 Author JMO-AJ gets dealt as late as possible to maximize return. That would mean Boston would be our round 1 pick. I assume Howie will demand a round 1 pick for AJ. That doesn't solve the issue we have at QB which is quitting on his team. But with an added round 1 for AJ it does help in retooling for the future. I believe we re-sign McKee for a short term to see if he is the heir to the QB spot if Hurts chooses not to play again. Any QB we draft would be one that can grow like McKee has(option 1). Although McKees last outing wasn't so hot(which helps us out really). McKee shined, then we saw a bad game. But the potential is still there. Re building the line is paramount regardless of the QB situation. If AJ stays, which is entirely possible, then I suspect we still add WR's the room in the draft and FA. OT,G, edge and CB are still top priorities. If AJ goes, the added round 1 would be for Boston IMO. Big shoes to fill for sure, but I feel like we need to get things in place for another QB unless Hurts changes his ways. Another "I'm not going to run" year and for me that signals Hurts will not be here for the '27 season, so let's rebuild this year. Just observations from an old man. Howie is in a bit of a precarious position with Hurts and the new staff. If we deal AJ and draft a QB(option 2) and WR in round 1, we will have another Wentz mess on our hands, but maybe that's what we do. IDK. The SB window may still be open. That is up to Hurts, no one else, but I really feel he has reached his peak and he is not going to progress any further. Many scenarios going on here. I want to see what Mannion has to say ASAP. That being said, I believe we give Hurts and Mannion the chance to fix things, so no round 1 QB as doing that would eff up everything, but a nice late QB should be on the table

Drafting a QB has been the talk locally. If, how, when, who..etc.AJ talk again too...more talk that he is staying put here. Again, that's all part of the big picture...how does the organization feel about Hurts.McKee... that's the 3rd issue at QB. I really don't see why people don't comprehend how expensive a QB is, even backups get good money. To have a McKee cheap for 4 years, just good business.Obviously we could trade him, just don't see the point to actively seek it instead of just waiting for someone to make us an offer we can't refuse. As a QB he should get us a comp pick value if his contract runs out anyway. The message of Drafting a QB early and AJ staying is the big picture that matters now. Everything else comes secondAgreed

February 21Feb 21 Author Interestingly, his ADP is higher than his rank, suggesting that users are targeting him more aggressively than his positional ranking might indicate.Users controlling the Philadelphia Eagles have been the team that selected Royer the most frequently over the past week, accounting for 0.8% of their picks across all seven rounds. Per PFF. I have him at 137
February 21Feb 21 Author Mock if AJ goes to Buffalo for their 26 pick. 23-Denzel Boston-WR-Washington 26-Monroe Freeling-OT-Georgia 54-Gennings Dunker-OT-Iowa (who will play G) 68- Davison Igbinosun-CB-OSU 98-Malachi Lawrence-edge- UCF 122-Bud Clark-S-TCU 137-Joe Royer-TE-cincy 151-Mike Washington-RB-Arkansas(lose Shipley) 179-Cole Payton-QB-N. Dakota st. 201- Kaleb Proctor-DT 3 tech- SE Louisiana(a steal here IMO) We have our future WR in place, Buffalo is in the SB window and they would want an experienced WR especially since now they have the Pats to tend to. AJ is happy as he will be one of the offensive focal points(where we failed him). The rest is a rebuild for our future, even if we change QB's for 2027(or even if we don't) Just using logic here
February 21Feb 21 Author Keep McKee(maybe re-sign to a 2-3 year). Deal Howell for whatever we can get. QB's-Hurts, McKee(2) Payton(3) RB's Bark,Tank, Washington. WR's -Boston, smitty, Darius Cooper Pick up a UDFA slot and grab some FA's as well. A nice UDFA slot IMO would be the kid from Cincy Cyrus Allen
February 21Feb 21 Author Howell has enough promise that a team like the Squeelers or Jets may be interested

February 21Feb 21 Author 9 minutes ago, joemas6 said:Is Howell under contract?IDK, but keeping both McKee and Howell is something we don't need to do. I believe one or the other gets dealt. Yes I know both are cheap, still if a team misses on a draft QB it would be something to consider

February 21Feb 21 Author Sam is currently in the final year of his four-year rookie contract. He signed this deal originally with the Washington Commanders in 2022. The total value of the contract was about $4 million. Since he was a fifth-round pick, his contract was smaller compared to first-round players.

So I guess being in a no horse town(because they sold the horse to pay for roadwork) isn't so bad. I moved from Akron to FL in 1994,then to NC in 2019. 38 years in Ohio,25 in FL. but was going to FL since 1960 when I was 4. In 1961(age 5) I flew from Ohio to FL alone. You can't do that now. Grannie paid extra for them to watch over me. At the time the closest airport to Ft. Myers was Sarasota/Bradenton. I flew there on a triple tail Constellation(dang I'm old)
