I could see a LB draft pick starting pretty much day one for us also. But don’t see us taking one in the first round.

Bo Richter from Air Force said the Eagles have continually reached out to him. Could be a seventh round pick or undrafted player. Edge player.

"But [the Eagles] were definitely the first one to put it on my radar that that was basically still an option for me.”

I just can’t help but have some optimism this draft that we could actually draft a DB high. Absolute terrible pass coverage I’m hoping can finally force Rosie’s hand.

Actually the QB has an earpiece…OC is reading the D. Teach you that little nugget today.

At the snap the OC talks to the QB?   It doesn't shut off at 15 seconds?

But not just the draftees left to add to teams. Still plenty of vets on the streets and trades to be made. Vet cap casualties I’ve been highlighting as predicting to be significant this season. Whether they get cut or have to be traded for.

So you expect Dallas to pick up these vets?

Problem is Jerruh has just kept drafting so dang well.

Last year was a good draft for them?

So you wish to change the specification of your statements to Hurts post snapping reads only?

OC sees the D alignment and can communicate it to the QB. That’s if they get the playcall in soon enough. Late playcall limits everything. We’ve had some issues with this. If the play didn’t get in quickly the QB didn’t have much time to assess the D situation before the snap. It very much effects the whole play.

I’m hopeful we are very much in position to pick up these players that can put us over the top.

Sadly this ties in to our HC football philosophies. He stresses not giving up the big plays instead of fielding aggressive D.

But you just keep using this screenshot of a CB in Cover 3 with Over responsibilities. The Out route is the slot CB responsibilities. You gotta understand the fundamentals to even talk about it. We haven’t been a D challenging WR at the line of scrimmage with bump and run coverage challenging their timing off the line of scrimmage. Was that way under Gannon and Desai. Not likely something changing under Fangio.

The out route that you aren’t seeing is covered by the slot defender not the outside CB. Once you understand this you might think differently about the whole thing.

I’m not trying to come off as being a **** or obnoxious…trying to educate so you can complain properly about what are the real issues.

For me the proper complaint is the whole Siri D philosophy….which every opponent realizes. Exactly what AR had Mahomes destroy us with. It wasn’t Mahomes cannon arm…it was quick underneath accurate throws…followed up by YAC. Cost us the SB. Costs us on shorter yardage third down conversions.

Frankly was a big adjustment DCs made against our own O. Hurts was just killing it with the big gain plays. Teams adapted. Our coaches never adapted. You blame Hurts…but he would have needed to override and ignore our HC and OC to do what was needed.

So now after I’ve explained all this to you what do you want to change in this picture? Why?

Not at all....15 seconds as they break the huddle... that's Hurts time to make his reads.    That’s his weakness outside of RPO.   Making the little adjustments...and playing big boy QB.

Steichen was very underrated in his job ...keeping Hurts out of the difficult mental situations.   Now the league had time to study it... at some point Hurts himself is going to mentally have to step up.   For his growth....he would be better playing Tampa 10 times per season. As they seem to challenge him mentally.  Watch both playoff games.. they cut him off running to his right and he looked like deer in the headlights.

We have empty backfield...they rush 6 every time.   Hurts has to make the protection adjustment...as you said, the ear piece is irrelevant at that point...QB needs to make the call.

Again... when they break the huddle they don't do it with much more than 15 seconds... the defense knows the play clock... they make changes after the OC can communicate.   The QB needs to play big boy ball...without the training wheels.    Hurts can run... he can throw accurate short yardage.... he struggles mentally when it's not RPO or simple reads.

The slot defender is superman?   Just can move that much faster and make his way to the sideline to cover the out...

Dude... you live in your own world.

The soft coverage here is brutal.  Pitch and catch.   I'm changing the coach,  which happened.   It's 3rd and 4 here, you can't give up 8 yards because you are afraid of them getting 40.

You bump...you force them to play football... if you get bear, who cares.   The alternative is them constantly having the ball.

What changed on the outside from the year before?  You can play plenty of zone with the CB up on the WR to start the play.

Just brutal.

Now it's the " Siri" D philosophy.

Ham = everything wrong with the team is the coach that got them to the playoffs all 3 years and the Superbowl.

Everything right about the team is Hurts?  Hurts got AJ to come here.. lol.

You better wake up... in about 3 years reality is going to set in.

Bump and run and playing aggressive D I agree with. Mixing it up even. But this isn’t Siri D. He stresses the D not giving up the big play. How often did we play Bump and Run under Siri? We didn’t really change. Same stuff AR had Mahomes do to us in the SB.
