Your statement is they are rushing six and we gave an empty backfield. You blame Hurts here. I’ll add the WR routes are long developing. Why is the playcall in the first place not prepared if it’s such an expected situation? We all know it’s coming yet it’s up to Hurts to adjust on the fly? Doesn’t even make any sense. To me it just shows how the coaches have no answer.

Yes .. because an easy adjustment... bring in a back or a TE ....you know, it's allowed.    There is no rule against the QB calling a protection audible.

Idk maybe all that amateur ball you watch they don't do that....pro ball the QBs do that.

Yes....great play...  congrats he made ONE play.  My favorite play of his career...  a play where he was a professional QB.   He needs more of that.

Just said how it was more than one play…in that one game. Just a simpleton argument hating on Hurts. See I could deal with the actual issues with Hurts if I wasn’t dealing with this endless uneducated attacks on him. Same thing with the D. You keep complaining about a tree…when the problem is the forest.

Did Manning or Brady adjust on the fly?  I mean , that's the QBs job....unless he isn't mentally equipped to play the position in the pros?

You can’t bring in a RB off the bench in an empty backfield. Beyond any QBs control.

Ok... let me ask you.... as a Hurts Stan.

If you could control one aspect of his game to improve....his ability... just him...he himself and Hurts....

What would you snap your fingers and bamm there it is?

You can't bring the RB or TE that's in the slot or out wide to come in the backfield?

I don’t even ever believe Hurts will be Manning, Brady or add in Brees in mentally diagnosing Ds. But yet…even those mental giants still were confused by Pro Ds at times. Just not a realistic expectation for Hurts. Really not a realistic expectation for anybody. Burrow maybe the closest to be capable. Yet he gets fooled plenty still even.

Turnovers. Protect the ball more. He can control doing that more.

Ok.... with Hurts..

Height

Arm strength

Vision

Mental ability

Running

Which of these do you think needs improvement?   Are there other things you need to see him improve upon?

We agree.

Hot routes. WR reading blitz along with the QB to break off long developing routes adjusting for the blitz. Kelce called blocking assignments. Are you suggesting Kelce was that terrible at calling the blocking?

But he can run....that's why there is nothing you say record or stat wise that he has accomplished on a significant basis...that doesn't involve running.

Then start there. Can’t make him something he isn’t.

Kelce doesn't call a blocking assignment when they rush 6 vs the 5.   Forget Manning etc....Wentz and Foles were calling changes on the fly in protection etc.   That's basic stuff.

Yes... please improve in the mental part of the game.   He can't be best QB in franchise history if he doesn't play the chess match. The running won't last long.

So let’s talk about how this would occur. Would it not start with coaching? The coach would explain expectations of in this situation against this playcall he’d wish to adjust in this particular way. Blocking, receivers routes and QB throw. That’s in the case of the D throwing an unexpected surprise even. But what was occurring was completely expected from the D. Yet the playcall was all wrong. None of the adjustments to overcome the situation are occurring. Easy tell take telling me the coaches had no correct answers. Audible to a screen pass was the only answer I could detect. Saw that happen plenty. Of course so did our opponents.

Our O pretty much consisted of Hurts avoiding the rush to grab the big plays. What we did. You blame Hurts. I see the issues being so much deeper. I see Hurts as enabling it by overcoming in the first place to lead us to 10-1.

It starts with basics.  In high school the QB makes these adjustments.  Idk..maybe he takes more hits and e wakes up.

Do you think that less of him mentally, that he needs a coach to tell him everything ?  You see 6 vs 5...bring in a guy to make it 6 vs 6.

You think he is that slow mentally that a coach needs to tell.a 4th year NFL QB that basic stuff?

So how would he improve mental part of the game? Would it involve a QB coach, OC and maybe O minded HC giving him instruction on expectations and adjustments? Or do you just believe Hurts is too uncoachable?

In conclusion...you think Hurts is such a mental midget that he can't figure anything out on his own.  He needs basic football 101 even entering his 5th year in the NFL.

Wow....that's sad.  Good thing he can run.

Would involve himself being a basic football player.

Seems like you actually are condemning the coaches to me anyway when the situation everybody in the stadium expects before any play is even called.

The easiest check on the field...they have 6 vs your 5... bring in your 6th blocker.

Is it really rocket science?

I'm saying we are in trouble if a 5th year pro needs to be treated like a pop Warner QB.
