So you are framing things based on our needs more than his natural position fit?

Combo must be taken into consideration.  I mean....let me ask you... don't you think Mitchell was selected because he could be the shutdown outside guy.

And the allure of Dejean is his versatility?

This particular play I keep showing.... if the slot guy is supposed to cover the outside...he should immediately run there, not engage with the slot guy...this play here was already a couple steps after the snap.

So did the guy mentally miss the assignment...or was this an idiotic scheme? This happened way too often for me to think it was a missed assignment.

Slot guy clearly is outside leverage of the slot receiver…it’s the breaking point….you know for those plays the O doesn’t yell out the exact playcall. The outside WR could do a million things other than go short out. The Slot WR could be the guy going out…Or hook. It’s called Zone.

So play him outside CB first instead of S?

On May 6th he plays outside CB.  On May 7th he plays S.

Or visa versa.   Is that really an issue?

Like for real you are looking at this as a problem rather than opportunities?

Here's Cooper on the #1 WR taken in the draft

Go back the fifty pages before the draft started. It was very plainly written with lines showing exactly what I’m telling you if my sentences aren’t clear enough. Had the slot guy with his line on the short out zone responsibility.

That tape shows me play him at outside lockdown CB, right?

Now he looks good vs Harrison BUT they are short routes.; he would get burned on deep routes in man. Thus between the 20's maybe he should play slot CB or S, or zone. This is the verstality he offers

As I keep posting. If I have 2 plays and you can't stop me on either one it doesn't matter what we do or what you do.Unless you stop me I will run those plays to death

And you’ve witnessed how many winning NFL games this be the strategy?zero…ok moving on

You bring up Mahomes a bunch. How would you compare Hurts his second season ever in the same scheme with the same OC and QB coach? MVP runner up were the official results

With the easiest schedule I've ever seen for the Eagles...and the best WR duo as well.

But that's great then...think about it...2025 Hurts MVP candidate after 2nd year under Moore.

Idk what you are trying to say....seems like you are searching for problems or reasons for failure?

If you have faith in your players...and their intangibles... I don't get it?

On short yardage yes(see other post)

Why don't we let the kids get moved, meet their neighbors and teammates. Find out where the restrooms are at the Linc. We have(I assume) pro coaches not pee wee dads who do this on weekends.I would think they have all been down this road already?

We’ve seen coaches do fantastic…and totally screw things up

Did you notice the defense last year being masters at Patricia’s D right away when we switched?

Yeah.... they mastered the art of giving a 12 yard cushion.

Hyperfocused on don't be aggressive....while rushing 157 times?

Actually? Pretty much

We don’t want you taking a hit..but here’s a QB draw…is that not pretty much exactly what went down last season?

Can't give it up that easy.

Not worried about Dejean.  We aren't the coaches.  They will use him how they think best works for the 2024 Eagles.

Then do the same thing in 2025, 2026 , 2027...and hopefully many more years.  With each year being what works best for the team.

Any of those years if he plays in the slot on Cover 3 he has the short out route responsibility.

Well as a TE(back in the stone ages) when I saw a guy laying off me,I had to watch him awhile to see if he was A)Setting me up or B) alot more talented than I was. Not more talented? Then laying off gave me the advantage as a receiver because I could make him commit with a twitch, then I could change direction which made him WAY out of place and he could not recover fast enough. I scored TD's this way. I was no "star" in fact I started as a RB,but it was mostly about getting your coverage to commit. IDK if that holds true at the NFL level, but I think it would

See now you’re in the discussion. You weren’t just yelling to your defender..”hey I’m going to fake an out and cut post” …then just out execute anyway

And go back to all the pages from me...it's not going to work.  Only way ot works is in a video game where the one guy can move twice as fast as another guy...doesn't happen against an outside WR...no defender can run 10 yards faster than an outside WR can run 5.

First down all day.

And we don't even know what's going on on the other side, but this one is bad enough. Now Plug Harrison into this picture(because that is where he is) This would not be a first down, this is a TD just begging to be had. I'm getting that outside CB to commit to an inside curl, then I turn out and I am taking it to the house

Only on key downs.  Ran that RPO on early downs.   He also tucked an ran often enough. Just didn't run aggressively.

So,when I see things like the pic you posted,it makes me think "advantage receiver" Guys that would press me at the LOS gave me the toughest times

Disrupting any timing patterns between QB and WR is almost always the best defense….if you can recover afterwards for whatever happens. As a CB if you can jam the receiver and he still isn’t a threat to beat you over the top…BOOM! If he’s much faster than you and your jam isn’t fantastic…your toast!

And then where he plays on the next play after they catch the easy out for a 1st down...will be up to the coaches.
