Again.... on the left side there is a numbers advantage which includes our best player.   QB can see this OBVIOUS advantage right there in front and make his decision.   You see AJ running a route on this play....so he was an option.

The QB needs to see these things.

3 DBs and 3 WR. The playcall designed Goedert split out wide….a go to if we catch them with a LB out there. But there were two DBs over Goedert.

When he steps to the line and sees the coverage....yes...he needs to see these things.

A QB needs to scan the whole field prior to taking the snap.

The nut licking is ridiculous

The Pickett outperforming Hurts in OTAs is just funny to me they really want to drive a QB competition for no reason.

The one take that I did read though that was valid can’t use the new scheme as an excuse for Hurts since Pickett is also learning a new scheme while also getting to know new teammates.

Also to add Hurts likely isn’t the best practice player and that’s fine since key part of his game is his legs which really a non factor at this point in camp compared to actual game

Yeah, really between Picket and McKee for QB2

From the sounds of it it’s clearly Pickett which I’m fine with good chance Hurts will miss a game or two and we need a backup that can win us a game

I haven’t been hearing that stuff so much. What I’ve been hearing is Tanner McKee has been looking solid though. Pickett’s thrown a couple ugly ducks. But this shorter to midrange  passing game and timing passes is exactly what Hurts needed all along. He really didn’t get to do but so much of it last season. You’ll notice every time he did it pretty much made the highlight reel as well. But doesn’t sound like Hurts has been looking great out there in OTAS. His arms are just loaded with muscle. He made a noticeable difference there this offseason. Bigger stronger arm correlating with sailing some passes perhaps? I really can’t act like I know and can judge things from the tiny bit of OTA film I’ve caught.

Just give Bellicheat his due respect on that ballsy gamble well defended play.

There are plenty of legitimate plays you can Hurts Hate on.

I think he definitely relied on Hurts not being mentally advanced for an NFL QB...for sure.

I don't need to hate....just give honest credit and  blame when it's due.

I remember in 2021 when Nick Mullens was the "best QB in training camp" week 1. He was the worst in preseason and practice by the time he was waived and we traded for Minshew. The only real thing to take from OTAs and minicamps is who participated and who wasn't able to. There were a lot of players that took some  1st team reps in minicamp and some of them won't make the 53.

Yeah Hurts and every other QB in the league he’s figured out how to shut down their best play.

No! You keep harping and hating on Hurts over a play you just weren’t understanding. Which is what it is and no biggie ….until it’s in attempts to tear down our QB1. Like I said there are plenty of legitimate mistakes made by Hurts. But endlessly abusing this very late screenshot trying to discredit Hurts is nothing but endless attempts to Hurts Hate.

No you’ve called Hurts dumb…and now not mentally advanced. The truth is on this instance especially you aren’t mentally advanced enough in YOUR football knowledge. Your misunderstanding trying to find reasons to tear down our QB1. You’re wrong! Flat out myth busted!

Coaching 101. Coaching 102 is how do you do it?. Every teams defensive goal is to take away their best O player. Not rocket science

Hurts is not advanced for the amount of time he has played. Last year was basically wasted. There was no QB progression due to lack of challenging play calls. Hurts needs to be challenged to reach the next level. You don't get better unless someone puts another goal if front of you. Let's hope Moore does that and makes Hurts learn. It will make him better. We slopped our way to a 10-1 start last year, but when the going got tough the tough went out for lunch. Hurts needs to graduate from college. In the experience Hurts has had playing, you simply cannot take an EZ sack. QB 101 and is was a sad sight to see. 2 bonehead plays when it mattered so yep, he needs to advance mentally and stop the stupid errors as well as view the WHOLE field on EVERY play

Bellicheat has been the best at it probably of anybody ever. Of course …some of that might have to do with how he earned that nickname.

Now the Safety against Tamp Bay is a more legitimate complaint. But what did you want Hurts to do? No receivers got open. The pocket pushed all the way back to the endzone.  He couldn’t get outside of the pocket to legally throw the ball away…that would have still been a Safety being still inside the T. He had to throw the ball away….but close enough to a receiver so it wouldn’t be called intentional grounding….but also nothing that would result in an interception. Tough play…all the way around. My main point would be if he had AJ for that game…much more likely somebody would have been open. He slung the rock to DeVonta a bunch that game. Why Siri’s dumb butt played AJ and Hurts that pointless last regular season game to get injured is beyond me.

And become the HC, OC and playcaller to be in that position much less. Of course that all just gets in the way of Hurts Hating agenda. So carry on blaming Hurts only for all ails.

DeVonta Smith had 148 yards receiving in that playoff game. Hurts clearly was maxing out utilizing him.

Think he does a good job here explaining the situation.
