June 14, 20241 yr Don't know if this was covered, sure looks like dullass moving on from Prescott, signed Lawrence $52.5 mill. Haven't seen the specs but they gotta be broke!

Haven't seen the specs but they gotta be broke! Wow!! I mean you couldn’t blame them I guess but then who else they going to have at QB if they eventually move Dak on? They don’t ever tend to suck in the regular season (I mean Dallas freaking sucks) so they rarely get a high pick.

Haven't seen the specs but they gotta be broke! They aren't moving on from Dak.... just waiting til next year to pay him. Lawrence was on last year of the deal, so they probably saved cap hit to sign him. Lamb should technically do the same for them this year. They may sneak in Dak before the season ends, but probably not.

Because the outside corner 7 yards off didn’t have the short outside responsibility to run and have to make that play. That is the slot Cb’s responsibility. So in both situations what you really aren’t liking are the playcalling by the coordinators. So clearly what you are missing is that the QB can look and adjust the play. Clearly you haven't watched other teams adjust plays ....we used to do a lot of that too, prior to the current QB. It's a big part of the game... after the teams break the huddle and line up, they actually make adjustments. The play call isn't the final decision made pre or post snap.
June 14, 20241 yr 14 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: And my point the entire time was that I don’t expect the Over Cover 3 corner to make the underneath play. That’s your misunderstanding expecting him to play a role not in his responsibility of that playcall. I expect my players not to give a 10 yard cushion and then keep back pedaling on 3rd and 5 and give up the easy pitch and catch for the 1st down. The opposing QB easily called an audible to that short out route on that particular play, easy throw for 6 yards to the wide open short out route that no defender was on the screen and then took it up field before running out of bounds for a 12 yard gain. I understand play calling just fine. What you seem to miss is that not every coverage scheme or play call works vs everything the opponent does. The game is won and lost with how the teams adjust as they break the huddle. In the case of your " cover 3" the opponent simply adjuster to the short out route for what you could consider the easiest 12 yard gain you can get in the NFL. That's why we have a new DC.
June 14, 20241 yr I think it's reasonable to expect my QB to have the similar mental ability to quickly adjust a route or see where there is going to be another wide open option other than his primary. In the play where Goedert was holding his hand up... AJ ran the route ...wide open underneath... bad coverage scheme that worked for New England because Hurts handed the ball off. That was Hurts decision.

Don’t get how Siri kept his job as it was. Frankly doesn’t seem like he has much of a job he kept after all anyway. What does Hurts need to get in lockstep with Siri to do? Media just is very knowledgable about the whole situation here with this team. Everybody knows Siri basically isn’t running sh17! So the media guy tried to corner Hurts on it. There is no great answer. Just another person trying to blame Hurtsfor freaking everything. Don’t have to like Hughes take but he is not exactly wrong either this could be getting blown out of proportion but it’s still there and if we struggle all this will keep rearing it head again and again

June 14, 20241 yr Author OT-got a new comp, not really happy. Windows 11 blows. Windows 10 was much easier to use. This is "progress". Windows 10 1-2 steps, windows 11 4-5 to get the same result. Of course after AI machines take over, there won't be a need for anything because we will be owned. The human race will be the new slaves. I will be dead,so hope y'all enjoy what you made

June 15, 20241 yr So you think we make a run at the Lions or Texans OC for HC next year? Both weren’t going to be available to ditch Siri this year for. Bring in Fangio then grab the Offensive minded HC next year?
