Eagles restructured Josh Sweat so the 26 year old is staying…. Reddick going to be shown the door then???? Image he has to get a decent return in a trade

Ham is just losing all kinds of things to complain about lol….but again we couldn’t keep Sweat or Reddick because of our terrible cap management just like we couldn’t sign a LB or get another S

Now it’s who are we going to trade Reddick to??? What do we think realistically we can get for him? 3rd maybe 4th round pick???

Could we swing a trade that packaged Reddick and Bradberry to Denver for there young stud CB Sutain???

Traded for a QB not who I thought though

Got Kenny Pickett, 4th(#120h

gave up a 3rd(#98) this year and two 7ths in 2025

Dude looked lost in Pittsburgh.

Well... Bark(ley) , Goedert, AJ, Smith and Parker should be a nice group to convert a 3rd down pass.

I'm thinking we see more of AJ and Smith in the slot with Parker in the lineup. Which  I like.

Thinking they are drafting a TE this year. Could be a real huge two TE set team.

Told you he’s a good young player.

There goes our loading up with a draft pick at the position. Be especially tough to make this move and still draft Penix..who’s going to be a good one.

Absolutely due to draft a TE.  They drafted Ertz when Celek was younger than Goedert...and drafted Goedert when Ertz was younger than Goedert is now.

Be awesome to have that ability to go ... two quality TEs.... the quality 3 WRs...  and they can go 2 RBs with Gainwell in pass protection as Bark(ley) runs a route.

Never said he wasn’t  a good player said he wasn’t a fit and still don’t see him as one but he came back cheap and we likely won’t extend him…. If we truly thought he was the good young player we would have already locked him up into another extension it’s what the Eagles do with the guys they like

LOL not good at all when you are the leader of a group of guys and expect them to trust you.

It was definitely going to be trading/signing a backup or drafting one…. Eagles got a deal on Kenny Pickett they liked

Oh….then you noticed. That’s why I was pointing out it wasn’t that obvious of a player to need to cut ties from. Think No Mas was dogging him. Twenty six year old strong proven pass rusher that does things the right way and stays out of thug life troubles(like the cowboys endless routine). The 4-3 vs 3-4 debate in 2024 is overblown. Either side is preaching some hybrid tendencies. Two gapping versus one gapping is the usual main philosophical and X and O difference. But been trying to point out how for a good amount of time now NFL D consists mostly of Nickel and Dime. Which much of the time consists of four D players placed at the line of scrimmage. Then you have short yardage and goaline stuff. Going jumbo Sweat has his place in those formations. If you have two big bodies between him and the ball he’s a large human to contend with outside of that. Sweat has good reach and hand and arm usage.

To come out and bash Sweat over not producing sacks at the end of the season is just uneducated fan talk. Clearly our D was going through major shifts with the coaching inputs. Desai really needs want doing that bad with his limited roster he was given. But then Patricia was sabotaging and poisoning in Rosie’s ear most likely. We started seeing Reddick out in coverage more. Sweat being used in roles not doing the sexy Qb stat chasing. Carter and the whole D fell off.

Sweat was a part of an historic pass risk just two seasons ago you shouldn’t forget. Clearly a player good enough to be a piece of that puzzle.

Big high pick Davis is the obvious player to actually bag on. Much more than our QB1. Traded up to take Davis high first round. No production either second half of his first two seasons.

How can any fan just gloss over…not just a first rounder….but we traded up in the first for Davis. Not judging his career 100 percent at this point. But after two seasons of him not surging the NFL season grind…can now label him as not a draft prospect that was polished and NFL ready. He’s enormous…so he wasn’t like most guys needing to bulk up just to play among the pros. But he’s got to take his job serious enough here to build up more endurance and stamina than he’s shown.

What was Davis? 14th overall or something? Rookie season we went on our playoff run with him not even being a starter. Suh and Linval Joseph their last career seasons got the nod over him. I believed it was bad injury management involved there though some. Rushed him back. For no reason. Should have let him get fully healed up so he could have made a difference. Just never been such a clear cut season like 2022 for us. Only important games were Dallas…but really Niners NFC Championship…whomever the AFC sent for the big game. Rush back the huge guy on a bad wheel? Never made any sense to me. Davis missed time over the injury anyway. But he never came back from it to contribute anything worthy.

Year two with Davis? Talk about just falling off. Other than just his actual physical size out on the field…what did he really contribute? Seemed like maybe an early season we glimpsed a little burst mobility and promise. Wasn’t a top 50 DT. Super high draft pick. Can’t even get a dominating half a season out of him.

Yea I noticed the Eagles opted not to extend him that way more telling they kept he because he took a pay cut to stay. And we likely let him walk next offseason and get a comp pick from him…. Fact is he isn’t a fit under Fangio he is only an above avg. at best pass rusher and a below avg. run defender.

If your going to be an Edge that below avg at defending the run you have to at least be a damn good pass rusher why Reddick got paid… I’d say Sweat is easily a tier below Reddick as a pass rusher.
